I love McKenzie Childs pieces I couldn’t believe you had such a beautiful display of their items thank you for sharing them with us hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie
Thanks! It was so fun and a great reminder of my weird, eclectic style. Yes! It's often looked over. But then part of your canvas will be matte and textured (the unpainted part) and part will not! So yeah it helps make it all more cohesive.
I had the paint lift like that on me a little while back. One of my subscribers told me to put down mod podge or something like that first to seal the paint and that helped it not lift up
These DIYs were great !!! You have great painting skills 👌 !!! Your choice if florals was so authentic MC looking 👌!!! Thank you so much for participating ❤
Thanks! I had never heard of MC till the challenge invite video but i immediately knew i had to do it. It was really therapeutic during this crappy week. Thanks for your support ♡
@@DanielitaAFTheCraftyMixologist I can totally see MC being your type of koolaid girl. They are so bright and colorful and that is you through and through. No matter what has been going on just know you are a night that shines no matter what. ❤️❤️
Great video editing job, Daniela!! I didn’t know that about pulling the tape off before it’s dry. Makes so much sense! Great job!! Such pretty DIYs!! 😍💕💯
Thank you ♡♡♡ also, youtube has been cleaning house! So if you subscribe to someone but dont watch their videos for at least a couple min it'll unsubscribe you. So silly! Sometimes i subscribe to people becuz i want to watch them later but dont have time in the moment. Ya know?
Isn't is soooo satisfying to peel up that tape and see those nice crisp checks. It's like a stencil that doesn't bleed. lol. You did a great job. Especially on the lines you had to hand paint! I can't draw a straight line, much less paint one. I'm not big on Mackenzie Childs, but I have to say, seeing your awesome projects is making it grow on me and giving me some inspiration. LOVE these! P.S. The playlist link isn't leading me to a playlist. Idk if it's just me, or if it's the wrong link, but I thought you should know
A lot of playlist links haven't been working on phones lately. idk why. I'll try to get a new link somehow. thanks for letting me know! and thanks. The tape peeling was exciting and scary all at once. lol. thanks for watching!
@@DanielitaAFTheCraftyMixologist I'm not using my phone, I'm on my laptop. But yes, I've heard that YT has been screwing links up lately. Just wanted you to be aware. I went to Ant's video and hopped on the playlist link there.
Hello there! New subscriber and just LOVE LOVE LOVE the florals. They pop and are GAWWWJUSS! The tray is cute too. A thought on the paint pulling issue...when working with smooth surfaces it helps to seal the paint with either a spray paint-clear matte or glossy- or a finishing wax...as long as food won't be put directly on the surface. This seals the paint and really helps avoid that issue :). Wax is put on then buffed off. Also, the modpodge bubbles UGH! I hate when that happens. Using a VERY light mist of water on the paper before the modpodge works wonders! Of course, the thinner the paper the less you would use. ANYHOW....here I am a newbie and doling out my suggestions but I got those ideas from a few of my subscribers so I am paying it forward!! Also....you used the word putz!!?? HAHA Are you a New Yawka??? That's a Yiddish word I heard a LOT as a kid in Brooklyn! Enjoy the world where you are. Happy Crafting!
Spray clear spray paint or paint Modge Podge before spray painting or painting DT pans. They will stick better. McKenzie-Child’s is hand painted and not perfect so the imperfect is great. Go back over with Modge Podge and use plastic wrap to smooth. McKenzie-Child’s also used a little gold paint to pull through the black.
You did a very nice job with these projects, you are a professional crafter and I have learned tips from you, thank you for visiting and joining my channel. I look forward to enjoying more of your videos. Nice collab. NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE.
Do u watch Victoria McKenzie child’s channel. That company basically rip off the McKenzie child’s home pottery and the lady Rebecca Proctor even tries to dress like the original artists
