the underlining social subject matters in this movie is proving to be a bit jarring for these 3 Canadians, especially for the actor who needs to sell it

Dug the remake, certainly "more fun" than the original, but the original is a feel-bad masterpiece, and the best thing that will come out of this movie is the folks who are slightly repulsed yet curious enough to check out the Danish original only to find something much, much worse (in a good way, of course). McAvoy obviously having a ball, though.

Is every female actor going to start behaving like Blake Lively and Parker Posey when they’re interviewed by a woman they don’t know or what? Is this the thing now? Because, sure, the questions were pretty basic fluff, but Davis’s eyerolling and shocked expression over a poorly expressed question seemed WAY over the top and kind of rude, frankly. I hate saying that, because I’ve always enjoyed her work, plus, she’s a BC girl too, but this didn’t have to be so awkward. Part of making movies is the promotion part. I know it’s tiring having to answer the same silly questions with twenty different interviewers in a short stint, but geesh…that’s why you get paid the big bucks-be professional. Smug isn’t a good look and making your interviewer feel like crap just isn’t necessary unless it’s obvious they’re intentionally trying to embarrass or upset you. I keep seeing more and more of this lately and it’s gross to witness. Maybe they’ve all forgotten that if they don’t like doing these chores there are loads of other talented people who would be thrilled to take these roles and all the tiresome junket tours that go with them off of their hands.

you read her all wrong. she has a dry sense of humor. those "expressions" are not meant to come off as rude at all. she even made a joke but the hosts didn't pick up on it. she probably also had a long day of interviews so her delivery on her answers seems "tired". nothing wrong with her at all.

It’s a bad remake , watch the original it’s much better and the ending is more punchy.

So cringy to not only say "Ohh you are known for playing "strong female characters" but then to make it a headliner. The history behind that outdated terminology is so well known it's goofy at this point and Mackenzie Davis doesn't seem too impressed by it either.
