We recently spent two days on Mackinac island while traveling through Michigan. We stayed at the mission Point Resort, visited the Grand Hotel and Fort Mackinac, had several great meals at popular Mackinac island restaurants and even did a fudge crawl!

We live in Michigan and have gone here every August for the last 17 years, best tip….open up the wallet and get into the interior trails away from the downtown. If you’re in shape hiking the East Bluff trail is absolutely outstanding! PS the bridge divides the lakes, your in Lake Huron on the island and the Whitefish comes out of Lake Superior. Want fresh caught whitefish venture up to Grand Marais Dunes Saloon, caught & cleaned daily!

@@MrUnderhilll bike ride around the island, horse drawn carriage tour (signup is in the downtown near the Lilac Hotel) tour the fort, hike along the East Bluff. Dinner at the Carriage House at the Iroquois Hotel.

The colors & design at Grand Hotel are from interior designer Carleton Varney - President of Dorothy Draper & Co Inc. he was known as “ Mr Color” and he passed last yr 😢 I loved his style ! Going back to Mackinac Island soon after 26 yrs! Can’t wait!!!!!!❤ you guys are adorable

WOW! It must be such a unique experience to work on Mackinac Island. I'm originally from Michigan. My sister lives in Bellaire. To her, it's no big deal, to me, I long to go back there again.

Great video.....on your next visit try lunch at the Grand Hotel Jockey Club on the golf course. I agree with your choice of Murdick's Butter Pecan Fudge. Of course, all their flavors are the Best! I worked at Murdick's for 5 summers!

Wow, nice travel video. Now you know why Michigan calls their tourists "Fudgies". Hope you tried a pasty during your Michigan tour. Michigan Pasty Day is May 24.

When we went you did not need a reservation nor did you have to pay the entrance fee

Not sure, you’ll have to check the different bike rental companies on the island. It’s a pretty family friendly place so I suspect you’ll find something

Hi guys, great video. We're headed up in a few weeks to mission point, too, and wondered how you got your drone shots. Are they allowed on the island or was that stock?

It wasn’t stock. Based on all FAA rules and regulations the drone shots were legal. Took off outside state park boundaries

They could ban take off spots but the air is controlled by the FAA. Someone could pretty much always launch one from a boat and be fine.

The best place on the island for breakfast is at the CHUCK WAGON. This tiny restaurant sits next to the Haunted Theater. The CHUCK WAGON also has the BEST hamburgers on the island.
