the show up for school shootings they just the procede to do literally nothing about it for hours sometimes. or actively stop parents from trying to go help their children. 😶 almost like they aren’t here to serve and protect the people. they are just asset protection.
Not to mention they did not do anything when pro-Israel "counter-protesters" were beating students with sticks and shot fireworks and bear-mace at them, not one was arrested but the peaceful student protesters were beaten and arrested by the police.
No joke. They called in over 100 cops and border patrol in full riot gear who literally aimed guns at students, beat them with batons, and maced a fucking Imam at the UCSD encampment.
A staff member shot himself on campus at Tulane a week before the protests and we heard almost nothing about it. The university wouldn't even tell us what happened until the next day. But the protesters show up and we get nonstop campus alert texts and emails about the danger they pose to campus safety.

My beloved ones in humanity💕 When we are children, we learn from our parents many habits that over time become like instinct, because the child is naturally associated with emotion. They may do bad things, such as bias in their love for their children, which reflects the problems of the siblings when they grow up. Emotions make mistakes. I assure you that it is impossible to be free from the thoughts and customs of your parents because they are attached to your memory, but it is possible to control them, including their religion. If there is someone who immigrated to another country far from his family and changed his religion and gave birth to a child, then he follows the new religion of his father. What is this false principle? This is the greatest evidence that God created for you a treasure of mind and heart so that we may know our Creator and the heavenly books. We were not with them when I wrote, and may God judge between us. Do a complete fast for ten days until sunset and go to the temple and imagine that you will die soon and do the same thing again and go to the mosque. It is a simple matter to learn to pray. In the language you speak, it is possible. You will see where tranquility, tranquility and spiritual happiness are in a sound heart and that they come directly from God If you want to benefit, follow all my posts You must search for the truth for yourself. How long will you live, meaning more than a hundred years? After that, you will die and move on to the Day of Resurrection, eternal life, either the bliss of Heaven or the greater torment of Hell.

@@danielboone8435 I'm sorry but wasn't the warning from YT due to "graphic imagery" which is a reasonable take given there's like, a kid with blown off limbs in there, among other pretty brutal stuff? I'm not saying the violence shouldn't be seen, but putting a warning label on videos showing brutal IRL stuff is important given it could trigger people. This one doesn't have that imagery and isn't age restricted ...
I will tell you my story. I am a young man from Palestine in Gaza. I went to study in Spain two years ago, and today I lost all of my family, my mother, my father, my brothers, my sisters. I have no one left. I ask God to help us overcome this war and return to my land, which is free.

The whole world could stand against Israel...and it is...but guess who is STILL mopping up in Rafah? We will not be silenced by your celebrities, who make songs for the babies placed intentionally by their parents in harm's way, yet are woefully silent on the plight of any of the Jewish hostages who were kidnapped by "freedom fighters". That is the biggest tell that Macklemore is nothing more than a would-be terrorist that we can not LET be.
This song has really shown me why the Vietnam generation was so obsessed with the music, when it feels like the whole society is blind and deaf to suffering and even vilifying peace protest it is incredibly liberating to hear this reflected in music.
Seeing boomers and politicians trying to use those songs from the 60s is so gross. The message is abundantly clear here, don’t think they’ll be able to appropriate this one years from now. 😊
So many "artists" forgot what art is supposed to be about. Glad you haven't forgotten, Macklemore. Thank you for this song. I hope it encourages more artists to speak up.
@@michaelj7069 the 70s is literally my favorite decade of music exactly bc of that. I wasn't alive back then but it is as if I had been. They had shit to say, they had passion and commitment for every single message they wanted to convey in their music. I don't feel that from musicians anymore, there's no soul in their art. It makes me so sad. Songs like this one give me hope.
art has always been a tool for fighting injustice, sadly the popular media will never let narratives be swayed against their horrible practices. im happy that atleast in the under ground spere we can keep our pirit alive and well, humanity have not lost yet

Hind Rajab was a 6-year-old girl from Gaza. In January 2024, she and her family were shelled by the Israeli army while in their car. Hind and her 15-year-old cousin, Layan Hamadeh, were the only survivors, trapped within the car. They called the Palestinian Red Cross Society, with Layan saying, 'They are shooting at us. The tank is right next to me. We're in the car, and the tank is right next to us.' The PCRS sent a team to rescue them. However, after 12 days, on February 10th, when the Israeli army withdrew from the area, Hind Rajab and her six relatives were found dead in the car, along with the two paramedics sent to rescue them, who were also found dead nearby.
"With great power there must also come-great responsibility!” - If people don't want to take the responsibility then they better not get to high positions of wealth and power then be silent or ignorant. Maybe we shouldn't have such an unequal capitalist society where rich have more platform than poor and working people? Maybe an egalitarian system would be MUCH healthier for all of us! We could still have top athletes, musicians and thought leaders but the thought leaders wouldn't be politicians, they wouldn't have power over us, they would just be well respected philosophers, like some comedians like George Carlin have been or academics like Cornel West. The top athletes, actors and musicians would also be informed by the truth from a people-run independent news, not a state and corporate controlled propaganda source. Meaning, 'celebrities' would also be well informed to the truth, like everybody else and if they were out to lunch and out of touch, they may indeed face public shame for their ignorance or poor moral judgment. However, they'd have a path to reconciliation if they learned, apologized and did better next time. Forgiveness would allowed to anybody who truly showed themselves to be better than their previous self.
TikTok has birthed a movement called the digitine (think digital guillotine) where we’re blocking celebrities on all platforms. We’re DONE fueling their profits just to hear crickets.

Same here, I'd basically only been aware of two of his songs that were radio and pop hits, "Can't Hold Us" and "Thrift Shop", but I'm also more of a rock and metal fan than hip-hop or rap. But what I do respect is moral courage. And seems Macklemore is one of the FEW in mainstream music to show moral courage and speak up about injustice. He's earned respect. I actually like this song, I'd put it in his top 3. (Edit: I especially like what the meaning behind the song stands for, it is catchy, but is raises the voice of the struggle for Freedom in Palestine and, really, for everyone facing oppression)
I am from Palestine, from the city of Hebron, and I thank you for this great work that no traitor from the Middle East has done. You are a great person who does not remain silent about injustice.
@@EmetShekerIt's so odd to me how many Americans are angry over calls for ceasefire and peace, yet many Israeli Jews have been protesting in large numbers for months against their government's actions. It is not antisemitic to criticize the actions of a government, nor is it antisemitic to see the destruction and slaughter of tens of thousands of Palestinians and the current, intentional starvation and understand that it is wrong.
And Celebrities say that their platforms wouldn’t make a difference, that there is no reason to speak up. Macklemore disproves all of that. Thank you for being one to speak out ♥️♥️
@@NPK476 Any artist with universal moral values would follow Roger Waters. So such a situation will never happen. It's a mistake to hold a festival that tramples on someone's heart on a land soaked with blood and tears.
Macklemore Bursting the doors of blockade. Meanwhile, other Influencers don't even have the balls to react to this track. "Yet the music industry’s quiet complicit in their platform of silence"
It's ok. We have us. Every single one of us common ppl, whom previously was psyched to believe we were powerless. We know now, TOGETHER, our voice matter. We have the POWER and can change the world!!! ❤️❤️❤️💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
You've mischaracterized the entire situation...others are silent bc they enjoy having careers. Macklemore has no career to worry about, nothing to lose...he is desperate, so he kissed your asses. Just like Biden. But guess who still gets weapons? Israel 😊 "red line! Red line!" he can yell it all he wants...Congress is already working to impeach him, and after Trump wins again, Macklemore and you and all your Pals are getting DEPORTED...there is legislation introduced by a real American hero to do it even sooner than the election. Biden has less support (bc of his pandering for votes and flip-flopping daily) than Israel (which was attacked and fought back) in Congress. Macklemore vs. Mossad who has more sway?
We are not our government. Please know that. Please tell others. We are captives of our own out of control system. We don't want this. none of us want this. We want the evil of this world to please just leave us in peace. fight each other if you must, but please don't involve us. we are all innocent as we did not chose this. We were born into it and we have no meaningful power.
As someone who is Jewish, I despise seeing our own generational trauma be used as a shield to deflect rightful criticism against the Israeli state while they do similar things to the Palestinians that were done to us during WWII.. End the apartheid. Free Palestine 🇵🇸
Seen so many wonderful jewish people on the frontlines of protests and in online discussions. Antizionism =/= Antisemitism, people need to stop equating these 2, thank you for speaking out, stay safe!
Naming this song after Hind shows just how invested Macklemore is, how committed he is to being properly informed to pass along the msg to the rest of the world. All the respect in the world ❤
Would you please consider making Hind Rajab your profile picture???? ....Make sure her face is in the media and the need for Justice for her and all the children in Gaza is demanded

@@canalzinhaThat's just another version of "I know you are, but what am I." 😂 Are you 12? For the record, there are extremists in every religion, including Christianity. The vast majority of Muslims are peaceful and understand the true meaning of Jihad, which is striving or doing one's utmost, not waging war. Just as a few extremist Christians bombing buildings or shooting doctors doesn't tarnish all Christians, the same is true for Muslims. Should we judge all Jews for the inhumane treatment of Gazans by the Israeli government over 70+ years, or on the vengeful slaughter of nearly 40,000, or the intentional starvation currently occurring? I prefer to think rationally, and I hold accountable those who are actually carrying out the atrocities. This conflict did not start in October.
