Thank you for sharing the video. It's very fast for beginners to follow though. I changed the play speed to the slowest but still hard to catch how you make the nods. It is such a nice pattern and good skills! so it would be great if you could make the video slowly when you put in the title that it's also for beginners. thanks again

Dena Kirby ...in the 70’s we used jute, it would really tare your hands up after an hour or so. But it was so much fun to do.

I really loved this curtain so I started to attempt it myself. However, part way in I noticed that she gave the incorrect number of cords needed. In the beginning she states that you will need 80 pieces, however, she actually uses 90 pieces! 80 cords will not work because it needs to be a multiple of 3 in order to create the X pattern she uses. Please be aware of this if you want to make this beautiful piece!

At 6.:21, pause the video, you can count the groups of 4 on the rod. There are 45 groups times 4 = 180 ÷ 2 = 90. Great catch Liz!

When you add in the two rows of half hitch knots, how long of a length of the cord do you leave at the beginning? I notice later that you do a spiral stitch on both of these and add tassels at the end. But approximate measurements would be great for those of us trying to recreate this

stephanie gutierrez ....there are only three knots that I can see in this pattern , lark head knot, double half hitch knot, and a square knot. There are tutorials on you tube on all these knots , just look up macrame knots and it will show you. Really easy.

This looks beautiful but you could have made the effort to at least name each knot when you do a transition. It's lacking a lot of information unfortunately.

@Opi-Rage actually he's not wrong, as someone who tried making this it would have helped to have the name of each knot, i spent hours just watching her do 1 knot because it wasn't shown slow enough or she didn't say what kind of knot it is.

I love the curtain! But gave it a thumb down since the videodescription is not acurate. Its not a step-by-step and doesn't give explanation about final size, used knots etc, so not suitable for beginners. And the only direction that IS given (80 cords) is off! So its an inspirational video, definately not a "how to"....

If you stop the video at 01:35 and count the number of cords you will see that they are 90 and not 80 cords

En voyant le titre de la vidéo, je me suis dit super enfin une vidéo en français, qui plus est, est accessible aux débutants. Sauf qu'en regardant la vidéo tout est en anglais, et que je trouve qu'elle va vite pour montrer ce qu'elle fait, elle est juste filmée en train de faire le rideau, on ne voit pas vraiment dans le détail ce qu'elle fait. Dommage j'aurai bien aimé réaliser ce rideau pour ma chambre 🤷‍♀️

Always a multiple of 6 cords, 90 5mm for 120cm dowel. Will try with 4mm cords to see how many sets can be made.

Puedes cambiar la velocidad del video haciendo click en los tres puntitos verticales que aparecen en la parte superior derecha del video. Ahí está la opción de velocidad y puedes elegir mayor o menor velocidad 😋

You can slow it down by going to 'Settings" (the gear icon) --> "Playback Speed" --> pick a speed your comfortable with.

Olá! Você pode alterar a velocidade do vídeo. Você tem que clicar no canto inferior direito, onde há um ícone de engrenagem, clicar na velocidade de reprodução e colocar 0,25. Espero ter ajudado.

You can resize this curtain in multiples of 12 cords plus 6.

Hello. Thank you for sharing this pattern! I’m going to make it this week! But my window is not as big as your pattern calls for. My window is 36x36. I’m a beginner and I need a little help trying to fingers out the size to cut my cords. May I ask for a suggesting for a length? I’m thinking 8 initial cords instead of 12. Thanks in advance!

Cutting of cord lengths is a hard one . If your window is 36 in x 36 inch then I would cut lengths 3 x 36 in... If your doing loads of knots I always got for 4 x the length .. how many cords depends on what thickness of cord you use .....

Read some replies, she got wrong the amount of cords, on that specific project you can count 90 cords instead 80 as mentioned in the beginning of the video(you can count on the 6:19 minutes of the video)... I am just a beginner and I like to read comments before starting a project big like that.

Hi there, this curtain is about 2.1 to 2.2m ,I used braided cord, If you use twisted rope, maybe you should cut a little longer than measurements I listed in this video.

Nice pattern but you gave the wrong instructions so now roughly 3 hours into my project I’m stuck with a dud pattern. It should have said 90 bits of rope not 80.

Altera a velocidade do vídeo, no lado direito em cima tem 3 pontinhos, clique lá e vão aparece opções, uma é de velocidade é só reduzir que o vídeo passa mais lento.
