You have inspired me for years and now I'm so happy that you stumbled on my channel and in turn have been inspired by my videos. This video was absolutely beautiful from beginning to end, please do more of these :D I can tell how much you enjoyed being in nature and that you had a special connection to your surroundings, macro photography helps you see the world in a way that you never saw it before and causes a deep appreciation for how beautiful the world is! As I mentioned before, I started my channel because of something you said in one of your older videos where you encouraged others to do so and it has been so much fun! You are a sweetheart to mention me, thank you so much! I rented the 85mm 1.2 once for a portrait shoot and because of your inspiring channel, those remain some of my favorite photos, and the bluebonnet on my channel banner was taken with the 85mm like yours.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a method to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my account password. I love any assistance you can give me
@Kylen Donovan thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I have seen a lot of your videos Irene, and all I can say that you have a heart of pure gold. Thank you for all the love , heart and soul you put into your work.
Well done as always. The enlargements are a testament to your crisp focus! I love macro as it is a mechanical doorway into a world we never otherwise really see, and there is a lot of beauty hidden there!
Thank you so much for making this video, I love macro & close up photography. I don't have a macro lens but I use my 24mm with close up filters and sometimes my 50 mm lens to photograph flowers.
Just got back from my land up there in the mountains of Cebu, Philippines doing macro photos of wild flowers and stumbled on your channel and my Heaven we got exactly the same lens....Thanks Irene never been so happy here with a photo artist from a world half away....hugzz..
IRENE- I've watched all your videos and I believe your one the finest portrait photographers in the world! Now you shoot macro photography and you do it so incredibly well! Irene you are something really special! You're very inspiring, Irene. Thank you, Randy B.
Bit late and don't know if anyone has mentioned yet, but those 'cocoons' you mentioned near the ants and aphids are actually what are known as 'aphid mummies'. They are effectively the shed skin of the aphids that they emerge from as they get bigger! In your case if they are particularly hardened-looking and have a big hole out the back, usually the aphid was eaten alive inside and a parasitic wasp came out instead! The tiny wasp had laid its eggs inside the aphid while it was alive, and then they leave behind only the shed skin as evidence when they emerge! Those wasps themselves are great to photograph, they usually have quite long black antennae and big eyes, though to the untrained eye they just look like small flies until closer inspection. Cheers for the great video! Just getting into macro myself
This was so peaceful & soothing. Please do some portraits in this location! I read somewhere that this lens is a beautiful portrait lens also so maybe use it for some?! 😄
I love that lens! What is so cool about macro is that, as you point out, opportunities for great pics are all around us in otherwise just ordinary settings!
Thank you Sister Irene Rudnyk for making this vedio. In my whole of life I'm always want to capture something like this, but I have not the capability to buy like your camera, but today when I'm see your photography, I'm really feels the morning, when I'm woke up early and go outside to capture something like this types of photography from my android phone. Thank You a lot sister 💝💝💝💝
Macro opens up a whole new world. You’re off to a good start. I have the Nikon 105 and love it. I think you might even use it in your portrait work. It’s not as fast as your others, but some of the detail shots you can get are a lot of fun.
A photoshoot with that light and fog would be amazing!! This video was so calm and wholesome. It was all about seeing the beauty in simple things around us.
Macro and just landscape in general is a great way to recharge your creativity. I used extension tubes for a long time before buying a true macro lens. Beautiful work as always.
@@IreneRudnyk can't wait to see what you capture. I live just a short drive from the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and I don't shoot there nearly enough. Definitely gonna fix that.
Beautiful pictures!! they low key remind me of textbooks we used to have in school haha. The covers of the books would always have some macro nature photography on them
I am happy you are inspired by Liesl as am I, Irene you have started with a bang I do hope you do more macro thank you for sharing your very nice Images
I love that you did this....3 years later, lol. I'm about to buy this lens and when i saw Irene photographing insects, I was like, what?? lol. Really nice/fun change of pace!
Another good one Irene. I use my tripod with the head mounted to the bottom of the stem, with the head and the camera mounted upside down for low level macro photos. I use the Canon APP on my cell phone to display and trigger the camera (at 77 I don't bend to work low any more). If your tripod has 1/4-20 threaded stud on the bottom of it's stem, you can mount the head on either end of it. Upside down photos are easy to rotate with Photoshop or any photo processing software.
Enjoy the photos and great see you checking out some outside the norm photo, though your portraits are outstanding. I have the Canon 100 2.8 Macro also and do love it to get something outside the norm. It is a great lens and always nice to shoot something different than my typical landscape or wildlife. Thank you for sharing
Flower photography can really be called flower portrait photography. Every flower has its own face. Obviously it's hard to direct (unless it's in a vase) but you can certainly work with the poses it naturally strikes... Lovely work, more please 😊
This is great! Macro is very hard at first, at least of insects, haha. I mostly do floral photography, so it's easier to take a moment to adjust for the shoot. But I love photographing flowers and sometimes insects when they appear in the garden. I can't wait to see you try this again with the new RF 100mm f/2.8 lens and the R5.
The empty aphids are called mummies, it's caused by minute parasitic wasps that eat the aphid from inside and then leave the aphid shell once fully grown... In a way it's like in the Alien movies :)
HI, this was really good some of the photos with the light behind looked so cool. Thanks and please get a makro lens so I can see some more. Just bought myself a canon 100mm 2.8 non IS so learning myself, but you have gave me some ideas And inspired me to do more. Thanks Irene.
Fine work Irene. I recently bought that lens but haven't had any time to try it out yet other than just playing with it. I'm looking forward to using it and your video just makes me want to even more!
Greetings from France. For a first try, this is great, Irene! I do like what you are doing in this shooting, which is more proxyphotography than pure macrophotography. It leads to soft and poetic pics, instead of anatomic frightful views of fly eyes, which are one of the most popular subjects in macrophoto... Do other tries, I'm sure we all will appreciate. By the way, I also suggest you to make portraits of your mum, who looks incredibly young and pretty!
whoa! ok she is your mom???? I swear I thought she was your big sister. ALso I had stopped taking macro photography, now I wanna do it again because of you. Thanks.
I just bought the cheaper Canon 100mm 2.8 it.s the beginning of Winter here in the UK so let's see what we can get. Will hopefully be going out Sunday morning.
Enjoyed your video a lot - different from these high energy guys!! You may want to try your regular lenses with extension tube(s). They are cheap and turn any lens to close focus macro. Personally I use the 40mm pancake w tube and X1.4 converter a lot. Great shots also! Keep up the good work!
