Macroeconomics is the study of the whole economy and it's designed to do two things: 1. To measure the health of the economy. 2. To fix it Unit 2 focuses on how to measure the economy: measure growth, unemployment, and inflation. Every economy has three goals: 1. promote economic growth -> GDP 2. limit unemployment -> unemployment rate 3. keep prices stable -> inflation
