yes. for example if you support your local farmer instead of cheap imports from the other side of the globe you are far right. if you are not entirely sure about gender surgery for kids below the age of 18, you are far right. the list goes on.

A lot of people ask this question. Here's my understanding. In France, you had the UMP who were considered the Right. The Socialist Party or Socialists are the Left. When Marine Le Pen's father started his party (the National Front), it wasn't as inclusive and appealing to mainstream French society. It couldn't be the Right because that's the UMP. It couldn't be the Center or a centrist party because it did not have enough to consider it middle-of-the-road. Even today, with the renamed, rebranded, more inclusive party now led by his daughter Marine Le Pen, you can't place the party anywhere in the left side of the spectrum. Maybe it should just be the Right, especially since I don't think the UMP still exists? I agree that the party should not be called far-right in today's context but at the time it got that label, it made more sense. Another way to approach this is just to remove the whole left and right nomenclature, except as humans we like to categorize things to help us make sense, and putting this along a spectrum of left to right is simple to understand. By the way, I have heard the news use the term extreme-left in France, and usually it's when showing youth vandalizing public and private property in the name of some cause. 😆

Are you on drugs? A snap election is when the President or King dissolves the legislature and calls early elections. Either because they can't pass a budget or because (like in this case) the government is clearly unpopular and has lost the popular mandate. How on earth does this 'deny the election'?

The center refuses to improve welfare, refuses to cut migration, and refuses to do anything meaningful about the cost of living. Doing nothing in crisis is not a viable political agenda, that's why the center is failing. Labour's new manifesto is an example of a traditional party adapting to the times and coming up with the solutions people have actually been asking for. What people like Biden and Macron have to offer are non-answers and words.

That was the result of moving too much to the left. Politicians started calling their voters labels instead of listening to their genuine concerns, and this is the result.

Becuase being moderate and centrist forever is not reliable. You need to know, when and how to move. People wants solutions and not empty biased promises of "equality" or olympic games. A violent reaction is unevitable.

They want to punish the government over migration, which effects property prices. I agree Macron is one of the better leaders France has had, but there are certain questions he refuses to answer which is placing him in this mess. People are sick of migration and the unruly, unsanitary, and criminal behavior that they unfortunately partake in.
