The games Macross VF-X, and VF-X2 were scheduled to be released by Bandai a few years back, as well as a collection of transformable Macross Plus figures. They had ads out for both games, and demos, but they ended up cancelling them when Harmony Gold tried exercising their contract with Tatsunoko on anything that had the Macross label on it. Lead to a huge lawsuit too.
hahaha I'm sremember this game as good as what i used to play it few years ago I still remember characters there... the boy with black hair is named Syun Tohma.. girls with red hair is Suzie Newtlet ... our hero is named Aegis focker and the main villain in this game is Mr Gilliam Angreat... pilot of the VF-19's...
hey i remember this game! this game is really cool because there are space & underwater fights + a land battle which lets your battroid fight like while walking or hovering! well, it's kinda hard 2 explain not unless you have played the game already.. the point is, this game is really cool & it could've been COOLER if it also has an ENGLISH VERSION FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT JAPANESE & FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T READ/UNDERSTAND JAPANESE LANGUAGE!!! ;p
honestly the music is why robotech has been cursed with never being able to finish anything. they match probably the best mecha fighting with freakin minmei singing. i dont know why its so difficult to separate awesome giant robot fighting from supreme gayness (evangelion, im talking to you)
man i have been looking for this song/vid for a long time, always been a fan of macross/robotech. sure the game play was subpar in this, but the opening was great, and the story looked amazing (if only i could understand it) the transforming monster set was awesome -----SPOILER ALERT------- like, i want to know why you start off friends with that one chick and guy, then last fight your killing them, what the frak happend. too bad couldnt read it.

i liked the armored VF-11 and excalibur. you always play the game as aegis focker, however out of the wingmen you get i prefer suzie. tohma was a bit too weird for me.

Humming Bird (two words) had two versions of the song. The game version had a verse in English. The other version, without the English lyrics, is on their "Happy Birthday" album (vicl-60571~2). peace
Always love this game. With 2 different routes. Always chose kill Gilliam due to the lack of Japanese and fought the hardest human pilot in VFX2. And love how this game was mimicking Macross Plus in the last mission (true end route). Fought numerous of Ghost and missile warning always beeping.
I had this game but couldn't remember its game....what I remember from this video is the "Get Free" on this song XD. Now Im like crazy, searching it for my PSP.
dude the game wasnt that fun, but intro sounded so powerful I wish they released an anime of this. I even searched and found there was a cancelled movie about the game.
I swear, every time I try to remember this video game I have to dig to the deepest parts of google search to find out about Macross again and find this game mostly because I remember the theme song.
i also rembered that my favorite plane/robot was the one who is in the water in the video. although it wasn't the coolest looking, it definitely was efficient! its two guns makes it very reliable. i also remebered that the title on each stage are english movies or novels or something like that like "sing-ging in the rain (it sounded that way in the game!)" & "moby dick".

lol, if there was a squadron like this, I would hate to be the guy piloting the outdated Valkyries like the VF-1 and 11B. That's like flying a F-4 Phantom in a squadron that has planes like the F-35 and F/A 22s. Seriously, there's no logic (other than fan-appeal) as to why they would fly a VF-1 along with a AVF-19/22. The AVF jets alone could take out capital ships, let alone all the rest of their squadron in the blink of an eye with the right pilots.
Point of logic:WHY would you update an outdated plane, even for testing? It would be like putting an advanced stealth system on a F-4 instead of a F/A 22, which could benefit MUCH more than the F-4 could. I'm not comparing VFs to today's aircraft, but using them as a paradigm of old and new. Besides, Miria STILL got her VF-1 trashed, but then when she and Max got VF-22s, & they OWNED everyone else through superior fighters and skills, like Dyson did in the VF-11b, then even more in the YF-19!!
Yeah, that was a letdown, and I was hopeful when EGM announced it was coming. Graphics in the opening are cool. Poor thing, that tank that got squished by the VB-6.
@takumivideos No, el mismo kawamory dijo que estos personajes no tienen ninguna relacion familiar, Aegis solo es un personaje creado por kawamory como homenaje a Roy Focker. Si mas adelante deciden cambiar la cronologia y hechos, lo haran oficial en alguna publicacion o proyecto macross posterior, pero hasta el momento eso es lo oficial.
this game kicks so much ass. not only does the music kick ass, but the story is accepted as official macross cannon. plus you have access to almost every valkyrie in the macross universe with the exception of very few. its not without its flaws though, but i easily looked past those because i had a blast playing it.
