Outstanding as always Bud! Dick is an amazing human being. Had accomplished so much in life. He lived thru that SOG hell and went on to live life to its fullest.

I love how athletes refer to themselves as warriors. No disrespect to them but Dick Thompson is a Warrior with a Capital W. Athletes are competitors. Lots to draw from their examples as well. Leadership, teamwork, discipline, diligence and the like can help give kids something to strive for. I just would like to see more reverence paid to guys like this as well and all our Armed Services personnel past and present. A team wins the championship and 2 million people show up to welcome them. I don’t think if 30 Soldiers or Marines, Sailors and Air Force personnel were gathered and given a parade that 2 Million would show up. Bud thank you for your efforts too and it’s really spectacular of you to donate the monetization of this channel to any organization tasked with helping vets. My fellow Americans and world friends all the best to you and yours. 🤗

Good to hear success stories of this war and to hear it first hand. Thank you. What may have given you better odds is the fact that you were furthest from the politicians.

Chit I was late, we did try the red dot in jungle in the early 90s, it was really impractical, the added weight and triple canopy and often high humidity, also people tend to become focus on the area the dot is, and loose their peripheral vision, which is very important. ONe thing I was trained with is shooting with your middle finger, your index finger was on the side of the weapon, pointing at the target, this would get you in the general area very quickly and on target quickly. (point shooting)

greetings from Scotland, sorry I can't participate during the live shows due to time zone issues. i would like to ask Dick, why they didn't use the same soap to wash with as the North Vietnamese soldiers did as the the VC/NVA used American soap to fool the tracker dogs that were used by the US Army? also can you ask if any recon team tried to bluff the NVA trackers by firing their AK47 as a false response to other enemy tracker units?

@budgibson185 8 месяцев назад
lol who do you think told the army folks were moving south months before that happened..? Also not a large drain on helicopters in the big picture if you look at the break down of lost choppers through the war years and where they were . We had a Col on to speak about this… Get better points 🥱
