Macy Gray was the special guest of the David Murray Infinity Quartet at SubCulture, NYC, June 19, 2013. "(In My) Solitude" was composed by Duke Ellington in 1934 with lyrics by Eddie DeLange and Irving Mills.
I had the pleasure of seeing Macy Gray perform this live with the David Murray infinity Quartet in Vancouver, Canada at the Vogue Theatre. Macy stunned the audience with this rendition and if ever this was a question about her place among the great voices of all time, this rests all doubts. Love you madly Macy!
