What could empty shopping malls be turned into? Amazon, etc. has clobbered so many stores. As a mall rat kid who could make a buck and a half last eight hours, I'm a little saddened by this. Remember Hot Sam's pretzels? Orange Julius? Record stores?
macys has horrible customer service. its about time. i once went to return something and a worker there berated me in front of everyone claiming i couldn't return the item because the tag was gone. i was like wow. you are rude.
Still think any business that was struggling before the pandemic and know clients are struggling with inflation, and many other businesses will also close . Macy's and other stores realize stores are too big and cost too much to keep open .Businesses are suffering, wage increases, all overhead increases, and organized shoplifters . Feel terrible for their staff .
Neither Joe Biden nor Donald Trump have anything to do with the issue. Macy's business model has always been large stores in "downtown" shopping areas and large shopping malls. Those venues simply are not what they once were. It's a long-term change in shopping habits due in no small part to online retailing.
I'll be so happy when they close the one by me I'm sick of the whole city coming out here to shop and have it over crowded Plus Macy's brought that toilet tissue and raggs with them. Goldsmith's 🤩was a better quality store😍
