100000% agree. Dancehall of today and last 10 years or so is just whack mostly and boring. It is missing something, and as a results afrobeats is killing dancehall right now in popularity and quality.

It's interesting that 'Gimme the Light', which is a fantastic track, garnered most of the attention on this riddim (Buzz), however, 'Press Trigger' is the track to watch. This is RUFF! It was RUFF then and RUFFer - Now. Cobra was lethal from the early 90s 'Mate a Rebel, Flex, etc.' - This track is Murder!

It's not a sample. In Jamaica we have riddim culture- basically a producer makes a hot beat (Riddim) and artists will jump on the ridddim. The challenge is to see who can make the best song overall. Gimme light might have won the mainstream crowd- but this one is the true MVP.
