This game was amazing for its time and I love the bad acting in it. I wish they would release a port of Time Traveler to the newer systems. I have fond memories of that game.
I remember watching my dad play that in a mall arcade in Charleston when I was a little kid. Lmao he was so into it, he even had his tongue between his teeth/arched eyebrow concentration face on. Damn it's been so long since I've thought of Time Traveler!
GOSH!! I kinda miss these ol' rootn', tootn' tales and gun fights of the ooolll' west!! This game blew my young mind when I first laid eyes on this and watching others play!! Can you imagine if developers made a modern FMV rail shooter using today's Holleywood-caliber style special effects?? That would probably kick so much ass!!! (> w
I'd totally buy a full compilation of ALG's library, for sure. I miss these kinds of games, though. The bad acting, the overall goofiness. Late Shift is about as close as anything we'll get as far as modern games are concerned (and the last Tex Murphy game).
And the theme of Mad Dog is called “Earthworks” by the same composer. The attract mode and ending theme is called California Skyrider composed by Graham Todd.
Im playing this on my wii and the showdowns are impossible, when I draw to shoot its either to early or way off target even when I aim well. Its as if the calibration is way off (on purpose)
I finally found to reload just above the sensor bar and rapidly point the gun straight down. Once you get that rhythm down, it's not as difficult, but before I did it was rough.
I wish they would port this one to the switch. Think about it, on the dock, you can use your joy con as a gun. While on handheld, you can use either the right analog stick or touch screen. I also hope they do the same thing with crime patrol 1 and 2.
To say that the performances in this game and its sequels were at the level of community theater acting would be an insult... ...to community theater acting. 😂
