Growing up as a pre teen in the 90's with my radio always on lock to my local urban station in Richmond VA trying to record the hottest tracks like this one onto blank cassettes is the stuff of good memories.

Yes I miss all of the styles from back then, to the hairstyles, jewelry, earrings, etc etc.... now on Fordham road, there are mainly chain stores...smh
man this was the good times, you could always tell wich was the culture of someone because of much they were into it, hip hop heads, metalheads, punks, everything, it was so lively, i feel sad now looking at people, all feel the same.
@@kenflaggyes, I remember this from freshman year as well. First time hearing it was on an opening episode of 'New York Undercover'. Seemed like that song took off thereafter much how you described.
nowadays they produce perversion of hip hop called mumble rap with just stupid lyrics, somebody shoot drake, lil wayne, nicki minaj and most of todays rappers
Yo I remember when Mad Lion Preformed this at the tunnel night club in like 95 ! The Whole Club was Doing the Pepper Seed Dance ! Lol. The 90s Kid .. U had to be there ! They’ll never be another era like this …
@@Demas242 Not really, if you are talking about actually rapping Foundational Black Americans planted the the seeds here and were rapping way back in the 1940's long before Kool herc was born or even came to America. There was a Christian group called the Jubalaries that were rapping way back then. RU-vid them.. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is an underrated classic right here. One of the many Dancehall Reggae tracks that mixed with Hip Hop. If you don't understand this song. Basically this song is about putting the guns away and fighting with fists. Mad Lion was down with BDP (Boogie Down Productions) KRS One's crew for those youngins that don't know real Hip Hop.
Besides being from Brooklyn, my brother and I were with the 82nd airborne division and this was his favorite song or one of them. We both like this song but this was his favorite my brother passed away and I played this song constantly. My brother was called Brooklyn. What is first name was Robert, so he is you, Robert Brooklyn, Felton
Man 92-97 was the SECOND Golden Age and I lived it! I was going to school over in Manhattan when this came out. Biggie, Pac, Groove Theory, Lil Viscious, Zhane, Brand Nubian, Naughty, SWV, Kut Klose, Nas, Kim, Foxy, Jay, Black Moon, Coco Brovaz, Lost Boyz and the list goes on... All had joints out. Like Blac Panther said SO MANY FLAVORS! That's when I met my wife. Miss those days of New York Undercover, Chinese food and Karl Kani! NYC4LYFE
I miss 94/95 almost brings a tear to my eyes. Thinking about NY in the summer. Jamaica Ave...the smells of food, the crowds, the dollar vans bumpin' this on a Saturday afternoon... Go to the city later with my wife and kick it.... Miss NYC....

+Leondrius Come man? Why is this a convo haha. You were like 16-19 during all this!!! That is a blessin. U were probably banging these tracks in ur whip at the time, sparking memories with the at the time, natural girls who im sure came around. Parties, high school, styles, tv shows movies. I mean u walked outside it appeared and were instantly in the scene of that hip hop vibe.

Look at fat Joe behind the turntables. Young as hell. What happened to hip hop ??? Miss these days. So glad I was born in 1980. I witnessed all the good shit.
This is one of my favorite songs in the world the sickest beat ever God I miss the 90s wish I had a time machine it was some good times man I swear, I feel sorry for the kids in this generation that didn't get a chance to experience what us 80s / 90s kids did an I'm a 84 baby to be exact lol
In 93 I could record onto tapes, why not be a good friend to Henry and just makes yourself a copy and give him back the original, hiphop taught you to steal?
