It truly is one of the best scores ever. Completaly agree that the Oscar for original score should have gone to Fury Road and it wasn't even nominated.
Which is good, because they're two completely different movies, with different objectives, different things to tell and different emotion to convey. So why compare? This OST is very good for Fury Road, but I think it would have sounded a bit too much in Furiosa.
@@michelwolodowsky9869 madmax is a wasteland car chase movie, in fury road the ost blood bag guitar and drums have add a powerful feeling to the immortal joe team. Secondly the ost chapter doof also brings up how max's team fight difficulty and feel them almost lose if furiosa fails to take out immortal joe. Every fury road ost has perfect timing and makes the scene into another level. Back to Furiosa, when I heard the ost, it didn't give me a feel of wasteland chase theme but more likely another wasteland movie"I am the legend" or something like that, it feels like the ost is bringing out the pity childhood and experience of furiosa. In fact, they can use the trailer's BGM. When I watch the trailer, the background music is surprisingly good, especially the 'there is no hope' part. But they didn't use it in the movie is a little bit disappointed
@@michelwolodowsky9869 for example in this trailer part 0:12 to 0:40 have a transition between new Furiosa music and fury road ost spikey car which bring up the classic old fim feeling and upgrade the chase scene ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XotnyLjS8fo.htmlsi=f2NuMd4m_PHeQXXN
@@yiennwee4496 Interesting POV. I actually liked the fact that the music was less present (even absent in some scene) in Furiosa, I found it gives a gritty "realistic" touch to the movie, less heroic than Fury Road maybe? which I think is part of the subject of the film, as Furiosa is not really a heroic figure. But I understand what you mean yes.
@@michelwolodowsky9869 yeah since I have heard that mad max new movie gonna be furiosa legacy which mean is a prequel, and maybe it won't have many super visual effect like fury road. After I watched the trailer, I found out that their face makeup is too clean and too many CGI and blender effects. Unlike fury roads, the director team makes sure to avoid CGI to make it more realistic as possible they can perform. But the disadvantage is too much cost and waste too much time. Instead they use CGI to cover that but make it lose the feeling of wasteland realistic makeup and chasing vibes. If you review fury road again the dust and mud on their face is clearly seen and make it more natural to merge with the scene. Same with the rust and old effect on war rigs and every vehicle.
