www.mpamp.com/non_eu/factory-... The pedal is called Supreme because it simply excels in both tone and functionality. Supreme was born in collaboration with the world famous tone connoisseur Matt Schofield. Matt was looking after the best guitar overdrive tones possible and a specific functionality: two pedals in one, switching from one side to the other with just a single press on the switch.
The tones were set for a great all around boost to low gain drive on the A side used mostly on a neck pickup. The A side is heavily based on our famous Royal Blue Overdrive pedal. And for the B side a fat dynamic tone containing some ”power amp” response with a lot of headroom. The B side is a completely new design and is used mostly on a bridge pickup. This is the way Matt prefers to use the Supreme pedal.
No matter which kind of guitar is your preference, you can fine tune the other side for the neck pickup and the other for bridge and have optimized tones for your pickups by a single press on the switch. Both sides have very versatile EQ sections containing both treble and bass controls for the best results.
Another use of the Supreme would be for example playing into a single channel amp using the other side for a rhythm tone and other side for leads with more volume as well. You have two different gain and volume levels reachable by a single press on the switch going from side A to side B. In another words, you have the ability to easily bypass or switch between two ”channels” with full individual EQ/gain/volume without using a complex programmable switcher!
The fun doesn’t even end here as you can also set both of the drives into independent mode and stack them. Stacking the drives will lead you into another huge variety of tones Supreme will deliver. Supreme in stacking mode works best in case you’re in need for more gain and compression.
You choose what is the best use of Supreme, the ultimate guitar overdrive pedal.

Saw Matt Schofield live tonight and he was indeed using this pedal! And nobody does guitar tone better than he does! Just add a ‘62 Strat and a loud ass Two Rock amp to this pedal and you’ve got it made!

This is my favorite Supreme demo. Novo guitar with HB bridge and Firebird pickups. Fabulous playing and tones. Right around the 1:20 mark it really starts to sing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BgN_PO1viJ4.html

Just got one these and it's amazing! The overdrives are very different from one another, in a very good way. I mainly play humbuckers and this works like a dream with 'em. Never really found an overdrive that worked well with a neck humbucker before, but this one sounds fantastic.

I've had this pedal for some time now and I actually sold my other overdrives because it's just so damn good! I use the right side as a low gain boost and the left is set for a thicker darker sound. That way, when I stack the two, I get this amazing creamy lead tone. Having the treble and bass controls is great as well, because I use a fairly bright amp, so I can tame the high end and fatten things up for leads.

How do you like the pedal Mike? How does it compare with a Lovepedal Amp11 or other dual overdrives? Is the right side close to the original MP Simble (the pedal it was based on) tone? Both sides sound fantastic in my opinion.
@gookiecrunch
@gookiecrunch 4 года назад
Since no ones answered ya.. the supreme is way more touch sensitive. (On the royal side) bit different od tone as well. Smoother? Just reacts better for me. I love the amp 11's but I want that dynamic range the supreme has. For me going from neck to bridge pickups have always been an issue as far as, if I set up to have a neck tone I want then the bridge is too bright and thin. The right side of the supreme solves that. Thicker and can be driven how I want. When I go to a bridge I'm usually wanting to be built up in a solo so I want to scream a bit. (Make sense?) The amp 11 can scream but seems the tone can only work for one pickup or the other. Hope that helps a bit. Having the ability to dial in both pickups just how I want is a good send for me. Plus if I really want to go nutty I can stack them. And there soo much od (stacked) it almost gets into fuzz territory
@nickardasis4
@nickardasis4 4 года назад
Thanks for the reply mate. I actually purchased the Amp11 for various reasons and I love it. For me it's very dynamic (even with a compressor on), tons of headroom and volume and it's incredibly transparent on both sides (something I wanted). I don't know about the Supreme but from the videos it sounded like it colours the tone slightly and because I just didn't want to risk it, I went with the Amp11 which seemed like the safer choice. I play an HSS strat and a 335-style guitar and both sound great with it, whichever pickup I use. I'm sure you can get lot more gain with the Supreme but that's not something that bothers me. Also I got it for "collectible" reasons because it's really hard to get in Europe (the Big-Box version) and I just wanted to know how it sounds as the Timmy (which is the pedal that it's based on as far as I know) is even harder to find. Overall I don't regret my decision at all, I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with either. Enjoy the Supreme brother.

@@nickardasis4 haha I hear ya glad you were able to get one! I'm not a high gain person either unless it's part of the song. But I dont feel like the supreme colors anything it's very transparent for me. I felt the amp 11 kind of darkened things slightly. Either way glad you're happy with your choice. Both pedals are amongst the best. Since you like the cot side of the amp 11 I highly highly recommend the white tchula as well. That's my #2 pedal after the supreme. Much wider frequency range than the gold or black tchula.

the black knob channel only is worth the price...: whats funny Ive noticed with dual pedals is that I really like best just one side...: funny exception to the rule is my LYR Gladio: dig both sides..., all in all: more cand y to ears n tweakability! I have like 11 overdives in a row, and the tones are awsome, and I can stomp one off n hear what happens...instead of trusting a MULTI-unit.....or digi-modellers.... mind ya I have my trusty ZOOM G2s for Twin65 & reverbs... and EQ: Today is my Birthday 58years, and I can still play with my hand injuries, Cheers!!!

Mike is such a great player that most of his overdrive demos sound like Mike...and... yeah, that's it. Could play through a tin can amplified by holding it up against a piece of resonant wood and it would sound like this! Not knocking the pedal, I'm sure it's great - but I never can tell when it's Mike doing the demo lol

I own it and haven't noticed anything out of normal. I have other pedals that make a lot more noise. I have arlo pickups and a conrad (modified bassman circuit into his power section) amp... which don't have any hum blockers.. (shielding on the pickup guard)

For an overdrive, it really is on the quiet side of things when it comes to noise, a really quiet one, even with higher gain settings.
@michaeljohnson6201
@michaeljohnson6201 2 года назад
So, the toggle switch lets you use the channels independently? Or you can have B going into A or vice versa? Then switching the toggle switch to the right allows both A+B?
@tomireunanen8033
@tomireunanen8033 2 года назад
The toggle switch enables you to use the pedal in two ways: The A/B-mode lets you go between the two sides just by pressing one switch, so it turns the other side off while turning the other on. This is great, because if you only use one side at a time, it saves a lot of tap dancing. Then the A+B-mode lets you use it like two individual pedals, so you can turn them on at the same time. You can't change the order of the sides though, but the right side going to the left side is such a glorious sound, that I don't really miss having the option.

I had a epiphany a few years ago. Spend money on your wiring and pots of your guitar. The volume knob gives you a fantastic spectrum of tones.
