Adam is too modest to mention that this car was hit hard less than two months ago (in the blue livery seen earlier in the video) in the right rear quarter, and that he brought it back to this in that time, including the bodywork and a full repaint. Amazing skills. Kudos Brother. Shifted

While this wagon is cool i think this one is a LOT cooler. Built by Mattias Vöcks (he works at the Koenigsegg factory) in 2005 with a volvo straight 6 turbo 600hp. The car is also a 2 door but with a custom made chassi, new suspension, brakes, interior etc. Here's a video of it beating a Ferrari 458 on Koenigseggs airfield . Sunedosa The Vöcks car is amazing, so much detail and custom work. Obviously done by pros with access to other pros and pro facilities. But honestly, Adams white 122 looks as good, better proportions in the two-door conversion imo, does not have that sema-bling aura about it so it is something you can drive and bring to the real world. I think this is outstanding! Having seen a fair share of wildly built and overstated Volvos, this is a gem. Can I have it? 😎

I'd be lying if I said that that car wasn't an inspiration to me. It's an amazing piece of work, but I needed something a bit more budget friendly that I could use on the regular and haul my kids around in. I must've watched his videos 100 times.

This is flipping amazing work!!! I thought I was a badass for taking the body off the chassis on my F250 super duty 7.3 in my drive way to replace the front timing cover and everything else in close proximity that needed refreshing in the process! But you my friend have taken things to a whooooole new level!!! Brilliant work Adam!

That work on your (our, I also have a 2000 F250!!) pickup is a huge project in the front yard and it was designed to do that. I'd enjoy watching the expression on the face of one of the Volvo engineers watching this video. This is one spectacular feat!!

@@adamnonis7022 Ever met a tenacious? A conscious one? Weird English words, ending in cious. Only the Welsh are more complicated than those silly Brits, still using an antique tongue... And then Spyker never turned the world upside down. They make great cars, but finally making a profit would be nice. Is Spyker still alive?! How come? Why aren't they as successful as the famous Italian car brands? Why aren't they the leading car industry, by now? I really don't understand that. Get sorted, please.

My beloved 240 was hit by a loose wheel 2 weeks ago. It struck the left front wheel and fender. I am left with having to repair it, as insurance wanted to total it. Having only 43K miles I just can't let that happen. Adam has inspired me that my work is minimal compared to what he did. Excellent job!

A stunning creation. I had several 122 Volvos over the years. This one would be an absolute blast to drive. I love the incorporated two door design and the creative ways to access the engine bay and the gas filler. This dude rocks. Much respect.

This is impressive! While it isn't how I would prefer to do a build (Marrying as much of a P2R as possible to a 700/900 wagon while keeping it RWD is more my style), the details came together so well, and the car community needs more of this kind of craftsman. Overall 10/10 build, more like this need to exist. Hopefully I can follow in these footsteps one day and one day do a build that even half as good as this.

This Volvo model is commonly known here in Sweden as the 220. "Amazon Kombi" (I owned one in the early 70's with the Volvo B18 hotted up to just over 200 Bhp.

Beautiful details, filler cap under rear light, hood hinge with room for working, extremely well-built interior. And yeah, the exterior isn't bad either - beautiful clean lines! Absolutely great video! Cheers from Volvo country (Sweden that is, when the 122 was made - not the owner of today's Volvo brand...)

Adam has a great mind at seeing what can be done . He was able to go through the process of finding a way to modernize a car I have always liked .Make it a two door wagon, fit it to a newer chassis with running gear and electrical and keep the original look . If you did not know that Volvo did not make.a two door you would think they all looked like this . Nice job on a not your everyday car ;-) I would like to see his tool box

You should check out the Volvo Amazon Estate/Station Wagon belonging to the British motorcycle legend, Guy Martin. He has done a similar modification to his car with the two door conversion and a much more powerful engine. He has also done a Volvo 850 T5 Estate/Station Wagon and given it 850 bhp to play with. Well worth checking out..........

Yea thats nice 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸. One day when i grow up i wna build myself an old school chevy truck. Forgive my ignorance but its the truck sylvester stalone had in his movie the expendables. Black standard cab with the hidden .45 in the dash. Yes thats what i want , hidden compartment & all. But i gotta buy me first house n stuff first. On that note i prefer to buy a piece of land and build my own place out of shipping containers with a subterranean level geo thermal heating/cooling & hydro / solar power. But to get back on topic here, THAT is a really nice creation.

I received some pushback for switching the thick trim on my 92 240 to 1979 thin trim. I hate to imagine how my gang of purist bricker friends here would act upon seeing this! But, a very clever build indeed.

@@cadeosburn5957 I'm still working on turning the entire car into a gen1 244. Replaced the interior and replaced the Gen2 seatbelts with the old center console belt clips. Also added back the old school mudflaps. Good luck with your 82!

I get push back from both sides. BMW guys think I ruined an E30 (that was headed to the scrapper) and Volvo guys think I ruined a 122 (even though it was rusted and stripped)

Cray-Z. Most round about way to drive a BMW ever. You still have not gotten to enjoy your volvo on the road. Now was it easier than puting a bmw I6 into a Volvo?

Easier? Maybe not. Fun though, plus it has better suspension now and TONS of aftermarket parts available. I have had plenty of Volvos across all the different chassis lines and this is by far my favorite to drive.

Would like to know the builder's profession. There are a number of trades in that build and he seems to be more than able in all of them. Anyone know how he supports himself? Anyway it's a fantastic accomplishment to a worthy old car.

I do mostly R&D, rapid prototyping and integration for a wide range of companies. Lately it's been mostly the satellite communication industry. It's really just a fancy way to say "I solve problems and fabricate stuff"

Volvo Amazon ! I grew up with these cars here in Sweden and remember a time when they were about as common as a Volvo v70 is today. Fantastic work, i especially like that small plate on the front fender which says "Swedish Metal" since i play and listen to metal :-)
