I love it when VOTC streamers put glow sticks all over the base and shut the overhead lights off. The vibe is really chill and lends a lot to the atmosphere.
Here's something I recently learned: apparently if you use a lighter on a gas can it becomes almost like an impact grenade, so no need to smash it on the ground until it's ready to throw
Those pink crystals are called Life Crystals, and are actually whats used to power the Rozitals. Life Crystals also, as they name suggest, re-animates anything its buried into. Such as the Fossil Hound, which is a deceased dog's skeleton with a Life Crystal inserted into it's eye.
Nose: Here you can have a backpack for your storage. Late-Game VotV Players: Nah, I'll just put a trashcan in a trashcan in a trashcan in a trashcan in a backpack.
the antibreather plush you accidentally got is a plushie of the creature that dragged you out of the cave! you've already seen it once running in woods, and the cave is its home actually
I can't believe you started putting bags of holding into each other. I can't believe I never thought of that. But also congrats on finding a Life Crystal. I have been looking for those for hours but could not find any. I honestly had no idea they did that. If you can ever get one I hear you can give it to kerfus.
@@1ferax I tried to keep a lot of spoilers out of my previous comment but you were able to figure out everything else on your own. I am actually impressed you found over 50 crystals. In order to use the radioactive crystals you need to use 4 of them on the work bench with the gas welder. It took me a while to figure that out as it isn't mentioned anywhere in game. Don't worry the welder won't be consumed. This will give you compressed radioactive material. You need 4 compressed material and a handful of other things along with the blueprint you found at the green hatch to craft the next thing. That means you need 16 crystals total per craft!
@@trainshark5213can you actually blow them up? I was going to test it myself but saw someone on a stream trying it and it didnt seem to work. They were in sandbox so some things might be different than a normal world. Would love to know if youve tried and have had any success with it!
pro gamer move I discovered in the mines, while moving up, if you use a hook to latch upwards, and then climb over something while dragging yourself towards the latch you will launch yourself at the end of the climbing animation in the direction of your hook.
Honestly its remarkable how few subscribers you have for how good your content is. This is the content i would expect out of someone with 700k or something. Keep up the good content!
antibreather is the creature with glowing eyes that you see hunting a deer close to the TR, I had no idea there was a plush of him haha Monique has a youtube channel, shes helping with the development. Nice video, actually a mad scientist, thanks to you now we have answers about the cave, I never went there
@@TheRatLiker UK chain called compass they have cafes and some diner style places, not many people know about them tbf, but the people that do really like the pizzas
I'm pretty sure you went through enough pain, to prove you gave fall damage an honest effort. Also until you actually need to incept garbage cans you could fit up to 3 or 4 cans in one can which would make unpacking them slightly less painful. It almost seems like you have a split second to get away before the purple crystal catches you on fire. (I could be wrong) but worth a try.
Wise men think alike, albeit I didn't use that many trash cans. Must admit I despise the cave content in its current stage, very tedious and inconsistent. I ended up just starting a new world and got the radioactive capsule that way.
The cave is definitely randomly generated and said to be "infinite" which it has not been for me, often it just stops and goes directly out of the map and other times it's just sealed shut, other times I have to go up vertically for what feels ages. I must say you were far luckier than I was, most of the radioactive crystals I mined only produced one crystal shard, I heard you need 16 to make one capsule. *Potentially Spoiler for some below* Also, you get nothing from those pink crystals as far as I am aware, only way to get pink crystals is killing Fossilhounds. There's a way to teleport yourself back to cave entrance, which is pressing numpad "." or whatever Debug.tp is bound to and going into ragdoll mode. But also if you pass out in the cave, AB will bring you out. ** 1:11:00 - Wait, what are the odds that you get transported by AB at 3:33AM to find the AB Plushie, that's some wild probability. That plushie spawns specifically at 3:33AM and disappears soon after, just like with many other 3:33AM events.
@@1ferax I probably spent almost 2-3 hours in that forsaken cave, only to find like 12 crystal shards in total, sometimes I had to go for 30 minutes and more without finding anything. Sometimes the ground would have no collision and I would just fall right through it.
I wonder if the wall builder might be useful down in the cave’s shafts. Also, I REALLY wish you could just lock a half-hook so you can switch to another tool. EDIT: Kinda want the ability to farm radioactive crystals beyond cave spelunking. Idk, something like putting them in a plant pot with soil and metal scrap. Y’know, because that stuff’s basically Tiberium.
Regular hook can connect to 2 different objects, but it can also connect with both of it's sides to one object, which is a problem when you connect both sides of a hook to a rock and are unable to reach to it to get it back. The one sided hook can't be used to connect 2 objects, but it's easier to use for climbing since it's impossible to lose it from your inventory because it can't attach both of it's sides to a surface
Not to micro-manage you, but it would probably be easier to keep 1 garbage can in your inventory instead of your backpack with the important stuff so its both faster access and so you always have the room you need to put all the other stuff back from your backpack, the 300ish you need, tho it might make picking certain stuff up difficult if you dont have the option to drop it anywhere. And my guess for the purple pink crystal is you have to back away fast enough after hitting it to not get hit, as the explosion seemed slightly delayed? Ty for putting up with all that pain, it was fun to watch atleast 😄
I just imagine someone going to that trash bin with a geiger counter and it's like ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WahfwuW76o0.html (i was really tempted to rick roll , but there is enough suffering our there)
