Donnie Darko is a movie that still knows how to get to me even to this day. The whole movie was basically a character study that took everyone into some rather dark places. And the final scene at the end with everyone waking up from their dreams and this song, Mad World, really cinched it. It's a movie that I will carry around with me for as long as I live.
this is kinda how i expected the song to sound. The songs melody won't work well with a good bass drop. the melody is too soft. Some of you may think " Wtf are you saying that make no sense." that's because i don't have much musical vocabulary, but i still understand what sounds right. this person did a good job because he was sticking to the songs main structure.
No music vocabulary or music sense apparently. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F1i0juJm5fY.html this song can be hardstyle then there's bass.
As a musician, that just played bad ass guitar with this song, three times in a row, I'd have to say this is COMPLETE. Thank you Jimmy for your time!!!!
This is a really unique take on the song. I know everyone is saying it ruins the sorrow of the song, but i think it just makes the sorrow more erratic, almost giving it a feeling of frustration and anger. It's very similar to how depression feels, and i greatly appreciate that as most people seems to think depression is merely sadness. I also really love dubstep
YoloToTheMax104 I know where sarcasm is on the internet, but I'm italian so I still have some troubles understanding english sarcasm (but now I improved my skills)
FrankLightheart They weren't dreams. It was what was happening that we didn't know while watching the movie. AKA, a slap in the face. The movie prides itself on taking us along an assumed journey only to smack us back as the movie shows us how many times we were wrong when we thought everything was OK. Donnie Darko is as much a delve into cinema as it is into ourselves. Mistake it not, it really is a sad mad world.
Ok, here's a dubstep remix of a sad song... WUBUBUBUBUBUB DUBUBUBUBUBUBUB SAD WUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBWUBWUBWUBWUB BUBUBUHUDUDUDUDUDUDDUDUDUDU SAD WUBUBUBUBU. Like every other piece of shit in this "genre" of "music" go outside raver trash.
Love the song. Also good on ya for keeping true to the original tone of the song when you made this, instead of falling in to the typical "gotta have a hard/strong/epic/etc. drop" it shows you know how to make a good piece and that you have a true appreciation for the music. If your other stuff is this good you have a new sub.
I don't understand why people talk shit about other people music when they themselves have zero videos up of things they do. Instead, we should embrace someone who has the ability to make original music/remixes off the dome.
I know right?! I keep replying that part like? 25 times because I thought it was epic! It really reminds me? I’m walking through the puddles in the rain 🌧
Audun Holmen well it sounds like your saying that comments are only for negative comments my self i think this could be much better with much much harder work but i also say good work keep it up
people are vulgur your mind is in the right place, but people arent. well most are honest and true, but its the always the bad ones that make it through
I'm sorry, but this is really bad. The vocals are echoed so much that they drown out the rest of the music, the pace of the music of the original song are completely ruined, and the feeling of depression and sadness and the mood itself are completely taken out and replaced with what feels like the composer had bipolar disorder. I came here and tried to give it a chance, but i cant. this is bad
Everyone else has given an intelligent response to why this sucks, so I'll put it crudely. This blew harder than a Los Angeles prostitute trying to get a bit extra.
Best song ever!! It is the official theme song of my book PsYChO. I can imagine this song in the bit where the main protagonist finds the psycho killer Penny's torture room...So fitting...
+Connor Shearer Watch the Video "indeed unique choreography - mad world" and you will love the remixes of this song!!!! this one here is not very good but in this dance this song is so perfect. you will ove it i know!
Considering all the comments...I thought I would say..."I added the tears for fears remix to my playlist"...its hardly dubstep as a classification, but definitely a great mix.
Alucard HeIIsing i was being sarcastic as well m9s this cheeky video is sparking a fire to the internet that only spoderman can put out watch out for anons ddos attacks bois hope your routers are cheeky they are going to quickscope all of our routers
This is morning music as my Brother in Law used to say. It's what they play @ the after party when you're still too fucked up to go home but you want to still hear techno.
the original song is NOT by Gary Jules. The original song is by Tears For Fears and Gary Jules made a cover. Yes, it was a beautiful cover and was perfect for the movie, but Tears For Fears deserves credit for writing the original song. you should edit your description
Duh. Didn't you know that the original members of Tears For Fears are Gary Jules and Richard Kelly, who directed Donnie Darko. They can do what they want with their SONG! Weird that they didn't go by their band name for this version of the song for some fucking reason.
GOOD GROD MAN. Get ahold of your reverb. Sounds like the whistle of a turd down a PVC pipe. And the synth really does not do this song any justice. Neither does Gross Beat. If you this was a standalone original song, it would've been much better.
dude take it easy you only get better its not like the music gets worse like if i played piano for 4 days and then putting up a video of me doing it people would say oh you suck but then maybey after 5 years I WOULD KICK THEIR ASSES
Some people get better. I'd say my little review was brutal, but the reverb issue is something to work on. I just don't like it when my favorite songs are remixed as such.
Gingerloveee Things like this are stupid to ask. For one, we come here expecting something good, but when its a little on the negative side, we'd have to give some constructive critizism, or what we think about the song. We don't know what the song sounds like beforehand, so asking something like "If you didn't like it, then why did you watch/ listen to it?", would be a non-open minded thing to do.
***** then i ask if you come here to see if its improved then i tell you no it wont it never will on any sites or places anywhere ever in the humans history couse nothing can be better than the original
I kinda get why people would hate it, but come on. I actually assumed this song would be disastrous, but I was wrong. When I thought the song would be butchered, this remix actually provides a more dramatic (even cinematic) tone to this already lovely song.
This is so bad. You cant take a somber song like Mad World and try to make it a song about sunshine and upbeat. Does not work. It would be like taking Pharrells song Because Im Happy and remixing it till it makes you sad.
if you guys wanna see an actually bad version of this look up "all around me are familiar faces shrek vine". This is better that THAT at least. This remix is awesome and just in general 10/10
THANK YOU for saying this. donnie darko came out in 2003 i believe, which is the movie gary jules covered the song for, and the tears for fears album that had mad world on it came out in '88 i believe. these kids today are just plain ignorant.
