this madam glam beige color is my favorite. I have never used it before though because it seems too expensive and I a just a beginner. Do you know of any other brands that are this color builder gel and also do you know of a builder gel or gel that has a deeper natural pink similar to the mg beige color? Hi, If I️ use this over my natural nails, can I️ use the base coat and top coat I️ use for regular gel nail polish? For instance, I️ have the madam glam no wipe gel top coat and the Red Carpet Manicure gel base and top coat gel polishes- would this work using the builder gel? Thanks so much!!!

Hi! Do you mind if I ask what is the purpose of builder gel? Lol stupid question I know but I see it all the time but don't know what it's used for. Can it be applied to natural nails?

Hi! Not a stupid question at all :) Builder gel is usually used to build the structure of the nail -making the nail longer and stronger, with tips or forms. You can also use builder gel to do an "overlay" which adds strength to the natural nail by applying a thin layer of gel. So to answer your question, yes you can apply it to the natural nail. Sarahi Esqueda without seeing, it's really hard to troubleshoot. Make sure there's no skin contact as this introduces oil underneath the edges, cure each layer fully, keep layers thin enough to cure all the way through, if they are lifting the the tips you need to cap the tips, if lifting from the cuticle you need to thoroughly remove any invisible cuticle from the nail plate. Hope some of those help :)

When I first started doing mine at home, I think mine would come off quickly because of what she said AND because i wasn’t buffing my natural nails before applying gel.

ok so I tried this and I absolutely love it! I do have a question for you...can I use liquid latex or something for around my cuticle area? I found that I missed some spots when I did my clean up and was curious to know if that would work the same way it does when applying gel polish

@@cgg1293 I used natural colored plastic tip to build the nail shape and give me length. I can’t remember the brand unfortunately but if you search “ natural nail tips” in Amazon they’ll pop up. Some people use white ones to do French tips.

I'm a beginner in doing my polish nails and I just watched several videos to know exactly how to do and I wish I could have all the proper information to do it. Like long I have to cure the base coat, how long to cure the polish nail and how long to cure with the top coat. Cuz I'm really a newbie and I failed to do my nails 2x already........

I’m not an expert just a nail polish lover but usually the curing time for a gel nail polish completely depends on the brand, so it’s best to look at their specific directions and what they recommend. Things like UV vs LED and wattage strength matter when picking your nail polish! We’ve all had our fair share of nail fails so don’t give up!!

Golden Carter the bruises show up under the gel polish... i usually only lightly rough up the nail so the polish will stick... but I also wasn’t using a base coat... could that be why?

Tammi Reid it could be your applying to much it was hurting my nails until I had to watch tons of videos, and realize that it has to be applied very thin, always use a base coat unless that polish has a base coat in it, meaning all gel polish doesn't need a base coat, I would applied one anyway cause I'm still learning myself...so I'm still learning as well

so i bought cindi top and base coat. do i put the base coat on first then cure it then begin with my 1st layer of gel? i tried it and the base coat never cures?

Stephanie Lopez I'm not familiar with that brand, but typically yes. The gels have a tacky layer after being cured and sometimes that can give a "wet" look. What type of lamp are you using? It can also be that you're using the wrong type of lamp or that it's not strong enough to cure your brand of gel.

Stephanie Lopez have you tried moving on to the next steps? And cleaning the tacky layer at the end (after topcoat)? It can look oily. Could also be that you're applying too much base, that step is meant to be very thin.

Emily Rosenzweig I had on Gentle Gel from Nailiteinc.com. The primer I used before testing this one was also from Nailiteinc, it's called "Something Wonderful". I love something wonderful and never get lifting, great stuff, I've used it for years now. The Tones dose really well and I've only got very minor lifting using it. Overall I'm happy with it. I'm about to start testing a new primer system from Naio Nails but haven't tried it yet. Hope that helps! TFW! :)

Angela Gill file the tops of your tips with a little courser file/buffer/etcher/etc. before applying. That way the gel has lots of little hills & valleys to really grip onto. Just like with anything gel from polish to builders to non-soak-off hard gels, you have to remove the shine from the nail first. The same applies for tips. Remove the shiny slickness of the plastic & your gels will not separate. 🤗
