Another thing for the Super Bowl cutscene, it only looked like there were 15 players on the field. Pretty much every player runs on to the field once the clock hits triple zeros.

I think itd be cool if they had a coach mode were you start as a position coach, where you only control that position in games, and work your way up to coordinator, where you control either the entire offense or defense, and eventually head coach where you control every player. And depending on what position coach you were is gives those players a boost when you're head coach. Just sounds neat to me

Wow… now if they would just do the bare minimum and update the freaking roster photos every year, so 28 year old Zadarious Smith doesn’t have his 22 yo picture in the game anymore. It’s not like the teams take new photos of the entire roster every year for there apps and presentation…. But that would require EA actually doing some work.

They don’t even have to bring them in and do it themselves, the teams have already taken all new roster photos for their apps and nfl presentations, and all EA has to do is use them. I know the packers have a picture day where they take team photos, I’m assuming every other team does the same. It would literally be the easiest thing 💀 maybe if the community draws more attention to it we might actually see change, but because we get bent over with so many missing features lots of people forget that they’ve been staring at the same mug shots for 5+ years. It’s insane. Like, how could a video game even get away with that crap in “new” game releases.

This is just an update. That engine needs to change. The game play is bad. I been playing madden since madden 97. The graphics are good. But the gameplay is not up to par.

I feel like adding the ability to play pregame warmup would be a dope addition. It could be skippable like practice but being able to do route trees with receivers etc would be fun

Yeah, I guess that's why they never got too serious about the hair to begin with cause of helmets. With them doing more cutscene stuff in franchise going forward it makes sense to get the hair right now.

@@gridion109 they are still missing ton’s of things but I played the 10 hour trial and there’s multiple cutscenes with players, practice injuries, better training, game plan’s, Assistant Coaches, and the new huge scouting overhaul that’s supposed to come in September it’s incomparable when it comes to the previous Madden’s from the past 4 years however it still comes nowhere near to the Madden’s that we’re made over a decade ago there’s still a bunch of things they can work on and need to add but it is a completely different mode from last year’s franchise mode

Exactly. I remember with NCAA, you could even adjust the temperature of the game. You could make it -20° or 120° lol. It was awesome.

I think in NCAA 12 they had a thing where if you were connected to the interent you could make the weather the same as the weather where you live. Pointless but kinda neat.

They should add players without pads and a helmet on warming up on the field before the game starts like real life. And add them walking out of the locker room that would be nice. They need to make the players shoulder pads smaller. They are too big

You know I think a great feature for franchise mode would and face of the franchise is keeping track of what your players do in the playoffs like they do in real life it’s be cool seeing regular season stats but also career playoff stats

CJG I definitely understand what you’re saying. It’s just that EA is behind on gameplay and features. Year to year games don’t even feel different. Yeah they give us little changes but I think an overhaul is needed. Even if they take the year off. They have the budget & technology to compete for the best football game all time. I’m starting to think they’re not worried about that, it’s all about getting money from every Madden yearly than pudding out one classic if you understand what I’m saying

I think its time for madden to take a year off. Rebuild the entire game. Have a small team work on updating rosters for new rookies and thing slide that And have most the ppl take 2 years to really rework madden into something special/better.

Playing the 10 hour trial it doesn’t really feel that different than the play test beta… kinda feels worse. Not to mention face of franchise is completely broken. Looking at the roster for the Chicago bears they’re missing dudes on the team and some of the guys who were free agents like Alec ogletree isn’t even in the game when he’s been in the nfl for like 8 years.

As a 20 year Madden player who now can play MLB the Show on Xbox, last year was the first Madden season I opted out didn't play a single minute, not seeing enough to even consider buying and returning this year. The EA guys should go on a field trip to visit where they make MLB The Show to learn how to make a quality game.

Gameplay is the still the same damn model since a decade ago. They've never even tried to get the actual game of football correct. Much less the lack of something called physics. Franchise mode was more involved a decade ago as well.

I think after they stop making games for last gen we will definitely see a jump in physics and gameplay. I wouldn't be surprised if they havent already started building a new game engine for madden to implement once ps4 and xbox one is out of the picture.

The improvements made in this years version of Madden are things any other respectable gaming franchise on earth would put into updates/patches. EA knows what it has with it's exclusive rights and it shows. They will not stop until football video games as a whole have a bad reputation. Then they'll sell the rights and move on to another genre to ruin. Hopefully then at least we'l.l get a playable pro football game.
