playing it rn and tbh it’s a huge improvement, it’s a lot more realistic and just fun to play, one of my only complaints is the tackling sounds they don’t sound realistic at all they sound corny

Some of the new things added was in Nfl 2k over 20 yrs ago like gang tackling animations and repeatedly tapping a button to break away from tackles 2k was way ahead of time but it looks like madden is moving in the right direction

I do like how for face of the franchise they lock you into your character and not able to control everything. It’s something I’ve personally wanted for years. Makes the mode more enjoyable to me because it feels more realistic

Maybe next year we’ll get a real halftime show that shows actual highlights from around the league in franchise

Best gameplay I’ve seen maybe ever in terms of realism. It’s hard to score. No one play scores. Tackling and zone coverage are much improved. People punt on 4th down. It’s been great. Glitches and bugs still but gameplay is incredible

I've been playing it and honestly for once it feels better and different finally

which difficulty should i play franchise on in this madden. all madden or all pro ? I am a good player ive just noticed in years past where on all madden the cpu would do some very un realistic things at times which didnt happen on all pro.

I got to try some of the trial and I've been enjoying it. I've seen some glitches and stuff but it feels like a refresh. Plus I finally got to make a side arm throw with Mahomes so, 100/100 in my book. 🤣 Keep up the work Eric, love the content.

If you can get them to add a feature to run a practice simulation game against a person in your franchise that doesn't go against your record in franchise mode, that would be awesome.

Have they actually integrated custom playbooks into franchise or do you still have to go to advanced settings?

Been asking for awahile. You know if you can turn off button smashing to break a tackle. And are the new uniforms in the game?

i’m not getting a next gen console until late september so i will be missing some of these features for the first 2 months ish, not the end of the world i hope the game is in general more realistic

Doing a panthers franchise and I can’t tell you how dominant the run is with Christian maccaffrey with the new cutting system. Also the new passing system is nice. Gives you the opportunity to make those throws against good coverage.

Great video! I play on PS4, and was wondering, should I buy Madden 23? I enjoy playing the Face of the Franchise mode and Franchise mode, is it worth buying for the new story? I wish they would have put the new pregame animations in on the PS4, but I am fine with not having it as long as gameplay is better.

Wish they brung back position battles and mini camp prior to the season like the PS2 maddens

In franchise mode, do non QBs superstars and superstar x-factors have the ability to get more than 2 superstar ability slots? I know in play now they do, but franchise mode REALLY needs that added in.

Running feels great on next gen feels like madden 25 only thing i wish was instead of tapping A every single time during a tackle battle they should’ve switched it up being B,X,Y every now & then

Hi Eric, just been playing the game today for a wee bit went into franchise mode, just went into regular season getting excited started well, then lost sound only playing players and fans voices, my quarterback came out in red jersey for practice, not a nice start. I own a xbox series s. Luckily the 2nd game came around and it had sorted itself out.

Is this for next gen only or does old Gen get the upgrade too

At least in franchise mode on All Madden difficulty, the tackling for your team is just terrible. The CPU team breaks every individual tackle no matter which player it is trying to make the tackle (ie. Roquan Smith or Derwin James cannot get solo tackles). I am all for having the CPU offense being harder to defend and score more points, but let's have them play by the same rules as the user team. I also have some still images of my OL just standing their letting the DL blow passed them with no resistance at all. There is definitely some work that needs to be done to the gameplay on Simulation. However, the new passing system does feel promising.

Does the passing system works in current Gen?

The 360 degrees cut along with the old double jukes animations would make it even better.

The John Madden legacy game is awesome I’m hoping ,now,we able to challenge plays and see referees get moe involved -online play

Question: what does the contain button do on defense.

Do some receivers have smaller catch radiuses? Is it based on their skill?

Did they add in the new helmets and uniforms introduced for certain teams this year?

This is only for next gen. I repeat, next gen. Current gen is a copy and paste game, it’s very sad

When are they going to add custom jersey’s in franchise mode?! They should have it similar to 2k where you can create & have a community of custom jerseys people make that you can use. You should also have the ability to be able to customize all 32 teams 🔥

Is skill based passing only on next gen?

A HUGE problem with scouting and drafting is how many screens it takss to get to info. Being able scroll through 40 times would be an easy big win.
