Madden NFL 16 - Review 

Every time i see ads for a Madden game part of me dies cause my hope for a new NFL Street game dies more and more.... well back to the PS2 i go!

No co-op online season franchise mode? No create a team or custom stadium for the fuck of it? No exciting jump out of your seat commentary when big plays occur? No cheerleaders? No locker room cutscenes with coach gameplan changes and and adjustments to hold on to or gain the lead with a pep talk from the fucking heart? No dynamic weather with mud and blood? No crowd individuals yelling how much you suck or awesome a player or team is? No sports ticker that interlocks highlights games around the league during franchise mode? Or possibly being innovative for those who have multiple EA games with multiple seasons running simultaneously or a halftime show that mentions those games or at leaset in a ticker. No option to actually go watch your scouted players perform in real time to really see what your getting? This is 2015 right?

People hating on this Madden we're going to hate regardless of what actually came out. This Madden is beautiful and feels like REAL football. It takes strategy to win and an actual football mind to play well. Bravo EA.

Best Madden since 12, Love the catching running backs snd options. You don 't like the catching jack up your defensive backs or get the best ones for your team my Cromartie has set an interception record I've shut down all qb's except Rothelisberger.

Madden 06 on xbox and ps2 will always be my favorite madden and my first. Its weird but I prefer the ps2 and xbox graphics of madden than Next gen thats just me tho

The catch at the end didn't receive any questions? Really? Also commentary was repetitive as well as sideline animations I bet they already made madden30 by now. Every thing is getting graphic upgrades but it's only from 640p to 720p. The sidelines have barely been improved. Where are the coordinators offense and defensively? Also the environment is still as blan as madden 2008s.

He said " this year, it lets you throw bullet passes or lob passes"....you have been able to do this every year in madden, what the fuck?!?

wanna bring back the 16 bit fans like myself? make the game easy to play. I can't get into Madden, the series has gotten increasingly more difficult to play in the years, by the time we got to the late ps2 and early 360 days, it has become too overwhelming. I'm sure hardcore football fans appreciate it, but casuals like me don't, and sadly there are no other games on the market.

The aggressive catch is abuussed, the game has crashed several times, Phil Simms commentary is dreadful and often late and irrelevant & my players jump offside at least 2x a game. Its only been a week and I am already pissed off about this game.

I love how they talk about different modes yet dont even talk about how bad Connected Franchise is. There is still no proper career mode. No combine and no draft. And when you play a career it doesn't feel different. Until they revamp franchise and career mode I won't buy another Madden. Sick of the same crap every year.

This review issuch a joke we need to take a stand against EA holding the nfl license as hostage, EA releases the same game every year with nothing but microtransactions and taking the overall skill and fun out of the game it is safe to say the last good madden game was madden 12 before they discovered how much of a cash grab ultimate team truly can be/ how dare EA take out key features like team play so that the player is persuaded to play ultimate team where they can make more money off of the consumer rather than them being able to play teamup with up to 5 of their friends are play competitively on gamebattles. I did not pick this game nor will I plan on ever buying another EA title in general ever again.

How can they honestly say that Madden is the best looking football game to date? Of course it is, nobody else besides EA has made a football game since 2008. All they have to do is beat themselves by a little bit each year which isn't hard. The animations are so awful.

Madden 16 needs a real TV deal like NBA Live 16 has ESPN and NHL 16 has with NBC....Everyone else has one and ESPN NFL 2K5 was the best... The presentation on Madden 16 is HORRIBLE for a sports game today on PS 4 and XBOX ONE... NO Monday night, Sunday night, Thursday night game presentations... NO Hall of Fame game presentation... NO Pro Bowl presentation or playable game play mode during the season.... NO NFL game updates of other games with highlights and commentary during season gameplay..... I could go on and on and on... Presentation wise,, Madden is NOTHING LIKE THE NFL ON SUNDAY..... score : 5/10

I think using live video of real star players is a horrible addition to Madden. Put the effort in the graphics to make it look like real video instead.

I've had madden 16 since 2008.

This game is broken all you have to do is get tall receivers lob it and lead the ball forward and if there's traffic aggressive catch its way too over powered I averaged 35 yards a pass

I'm getting this only because I haven't bought a Madden game on my Xbox One yet. I'm doing what I did with NBA 2K15. I'm probably not gonna buy a new 2K again until like 2K18.

The physics in rocket league are better.

Everything looks exactly the same from madden 15. Even things like the scoreboard didn't change.

Looks more complicated than working for an actual NFL team. Who has the time for all that...

Madden NFL 15 - Review*

I think gears deserves a better score than this, but since I don't own either of these games I'm only going based on last years madden. I played madden for a few months and then stopped playing I've been playing gears 3 for years, and I still play it. Not that gears definitive edition is gears 3, but I still enjoy gears 1 as much. I mean, for gears they literally started from scratch to rewrite the graphics and create a huge overhaul. Gamespot, you're supposed to be better than ign, stop disappointing.

uhhh, all of these features were in last years game except draft champions. All they did to the gameplay was change a few catch animations. The presentation is almost exactly the same. The crowds still look like shit. This is the best that they could do to improve on '15?

looks to me like the defenders STILL watch receivers run across their faces and make catches. zone is better than man? no. in my experience with this terrible game last two years is that: 1. if you wait long enough men will come open in zone coverage because defense will NOT react 2. man coverage cant cover any route with a second move to it (comebacks, outs, etc.) 3. ratings matter - lower rated DBs cant cover JACK in man coverage as if they're not starting NFL players 4. hard to break down and make tackles 5. hard to control DB and play the ball 6. hard to penetrate with d-lineman 7. QBs such as Manning, Brady, Rodgers, etc. CANT MISS!!! I only play when visiting friends houses I owned 2015 for less than a week before I took it back and got the Stick of Truth. i miss ps2 madden maybe it wasnt as realistic as the ps3 and ps4 versions but it felt as if you had more CONTROL over the players whereas everything now seems to be an animated sequence that you're just at the mercy of having to watch unfold. plus the franchise mode was 100000000x better!!! with espn radio, the interviews, the ticker, the stadium stuff, free agents, trades, drafting, drills, the music, etc was ALL done better in older maddens. favorite maddens: 1. 98 2. 00 3. 02 4. 04 - 09 hate these unstoppable animations, hate the roller skate player movements (its pretty hard to stop a punt on the 1 yard line now lol) hate the windows 8 interface, hate the music, the half done presentation, no coin flip?, i want pat summerall john madden al michaels good God what have they DONE!!!!!

I'll give this game a 5 out of 10 , really bad stuff overall , game spot how much extra you getting paid by EA sports? compare ESPN NFL 2k5 $20 and Madden 16 $60 and you'll see what's missing as a whole for game play and its presentation.

HOLY SHIT. who cares if gears got a 7 and madden got an 8. first of all I'm not a huge fan of these games and chances alot of people who comment on these videos aren't either. so to judge a game based on a review for a game you don't like is fucking stupid. second these are two different reviewers, two different genres and are scored based on different criteria. one is reviewed as a game that is expected to come out every year and scored based on improvements and technical fidelity. the other is a remastering of a title that was already released and is judged based on presentation, changes, and additional content that would warrant a re-release. and besides these scores will not effect you're enjoyment of any of these games so its dumb as shit to get your feathers ruffled.
