After his passing I came looking for exactly this. RIP, Mr. Madden. What we want? The rock in the palm of our hands. What we got…:we got John Madden. You the goat.
I’m 28 years old and don’t even play video games anymore unless it’s the occasional game of this game at a buddies house. Watching this just took me back.
I aint see this since it came out and i Remember the words i was 9 then im 28 now wow im impressed .... I just found out today that this was ludicrous too no wonder it was a hit.
I been playing madden since early 90's , so many memories with friends and family and from the movie Little Giants man what a classic I was excited watch that with my son once he started playing peewee football . that voice was 1 of a kind and will never be duplicated . RIP John Madden
Brings back memories from Fourth Grade Elementary School. I remember Uncle Darryl, Jamaal, and Munchie had this on PS1 Console Early December 1999 the Last Year of the Century, and the Millennium, and the 90's decade.
normally on any other introduction to a game i would always press x to hurry up and get to the game...but with this intro me and my older brother would always let this on play....memories
Right. Only half of em got dementia these days. If you round up most of em aren't like mentally deficient. I got hit in the head a lot and I can still read my kidses Dr. Seuss books. They read stuff for college but I got all these books now my favorite is cat n a half he a fool doe 😂
Imagine the backlash if an intro like this came out in 2020 Concussion causing hits Helmets flying off "Put on a skirt if you come on the field and don't want to get hurt!" Game would get cancelled before release like it's NBA Live or something
Everything about this intro is just perfect. The fact it resonated with me at such a young age that I remember it word for word 20+ years later says alot. This is such a huge piece of my childhood.
