Why do players appear magically in their places after the huddle? Year after year is the same thing. Miss those days when the animation for getting in position actually existed

It does exist in the game they just turn it off. There are gameplay mods that enable it but you cannot play online w them

I swore I would never buy this again....but I caved, LOL. $30 bucks, on sale today for Series X, (had an old $10 credit...so $20) LAST time I purchased Madden was 2015 (2017 came free on PS Plus years ago for my PS4) So this is the first Madden on the "New Gen" I only use Series X for Flight Sim since April last year...so I NEEDED another game! So...we'll see how this goes. Sure I'll get some enjoyment out of it.

Madden tackling animations are so slow and weak looking. It’s like when the players connect, it triggers an animation that’s always slower than the speed of the play and it almost appears as if it’s a scripted dance that sets the ballcarrier down gently, not a COLLISION. Plus the tacklers either stand straight up or do a leg chop; they look robotic and goofy the way they move. This series would be so fun to play every year if EA just listened to us hipsters and elected real-time physics as the primary tackling mechanic. I’m not saying they shouldn’t clean it up and augment it with some animations to account for the given physics engine’s flaws, but physics first/animations second is my belief. There’s just something about the fluidity of interactions - seeing the lower leg of the ballcarrier move dynamically as it’s impacted by the shoulder of the defender - that triggers my brain to perceive the tackle as real looking. Plus it’s just more fun… You can feel like you’re using leverage and that you can “always escape” if you keep fighting with the controls (and in a sense, that would be true if we could someday have extremely high-resolution input processing, where resistance is accounted for DURING the tackle by some measured input). I will say that Madden 24 is “okay” and Madden 25 actually looks pretty sexy, but I intuit that this is merely the fact that the higher processing power afforded by current consoles and overall advancement in game development has meant that there are just MORE ANIMATIONS to improve it in a linear sense; theoretically if - say we have infinite animations - then perfect realism could be achieved top-down by there being a separate discrete animation for every angle and velocity (you get the point). I still question whether I’m gonna play Madden 25 and it’s that same signature Madden feel - my player hardly responds to inputs and I get sucked into lame tackling animations. BORINGGGGGGG.

Why does it seem like the PS5 is making better use of lighting, and has better animation, but doesn’t quite look as detailed as the series x? Also, why do you have fumbles up so high? They shouldn’t be fumbling every hit.

No game has ever done that, it’s not even physically possible to implement something like that to process on current consoles. The game can barely run at a stable 60fps, much less have the memory and speed to do all of that simultaneously in one continuous shot/play consistently. You’d have to have a pretty expensive and efficient Super PC machine to accomplish magical things like that , next you’re going to want photo realistic graphics, real life physics/reactions, gameplay and animations at 120fps in 4K🤦🏽‍♂️ Just be happy with what they can give you, shut up and keep buying the same game every year to support the developers and their families. Hopefully in another 10+years or so they’ll have better and more powerful technology and tools to make games like what you’re looking for and described.🤣

Don't tell me what's not capable in 2024 with the strongest cpu power that we've ever had. Stop giving excuses to ea sports. They're a horrible company that should be out outta business. 😂

@@seanleaf3165 I’m 40 and I know for a fact that current consoles just aren’t capable of that kind of power and performance. Sure PS2 and even the original Xbox were more than capable because they’re just way more advanced and powerful systems, which is why their games are so rare, expensive and more valuable today than they were 20 years ago. Even the Xbox 360 can still do things that the Series X/S and PS 5 just can’t. The technology back then was just superior because they had more chips, wires and resources to develop those systems. Which is why they can even run Blu Ray movies, CDs and DVDs. Nothing current to this day can do any of that. Because everything is streamed over the internet now and no longer requires the mechanical power of optical disc drives/gears and physical engines and processor mechanisms to run games anymore.💯
