How can the Guardians be France's answer to the American Cowboy if they were there a long time before them? XD
@iAlexSpritesify

Its not the answer, its just similar, the cobowys and the gardians are both cattle ranchers and horse riders.

With all respect due to US cowboys, why compare? Cowboys are cowboys, and gardians are gardians!

As a Texan I can't wrap my head around "cowboys herding in marshlands." I seriously hope it just rained and that's not how their pastures normally are.

Kamron Thurmond The horses naturally live in swamplands, the Camargue. But the Camargue does have a lot of solid ground. Like it's said in the video, the horses feet are designed for wetlands.

the original Carmargue is mostly wetlands and marshes. It‘s the delta of one of France‘s largest rivers, the Rhône. However a lot of it was drained and is now used as farmland, some for rice, or other grains mostly. The ranching mostly happens in the areas that are still wet though, at least the „old fashioned“ free range ranching shown in the video. The most mind-boggling thing about it is that the soil isn‘t just wet, that‘s actually salt water. All the soils and grasses are just drenched in salt from the mediterranean sea and the horses and cattle have adapted over millennia to deal with it. You can google the Camargue region, or the Camargue horse and read more about it, it‘s a very interesting eco system and very important as a way-station to a staggering amount of Europe‘s migratory birds!

if you had watched till 4:30, the video would have answered your own question, they are adapted for living in wet marshlands
