This is the clearest lesson I’ve seen so far! Really simple to follow and clearly explained. Catnapp you should do more tutorials for sure! Thank you so much
NGL I didn't expect to learn much from this but this was probably one of the best and most informative and helpful videos I have seen from this channel in a long time. Thank you so much!
ngl. the thumbnail makes her look like a 12 year old boy, and i thought a pre-teen was about to show me up on ableton. instead i learned good info from some cool argentinian chick.
Thanks Catnapp, this was so inspirational. I can't wait to start a new project with these tips! I would only add that you can switch between projects by 'adding a folder' in your browser and simply drag and drop stuff over! x
Very cool tutorial! Also love the fact that you put delay and reverb on your voice while recording it in, gives a total different vibe when singing it in in stead of adding it afterwords. Keep on rocking!
She came alive after explaining ger routine was nice to see. I like the idea of color coding the new and old projects differently within the arrangement definitely going to use that.
I opened up two ablation projects side by side and I wasn’t able to drag and drop the files from my old project to my new one. I also tried to copy and paste and it didn’t work. Any ideas?
@@martinezdecap hmm. I haven't tried to copy and paste like she did. I was surprised when she said she did it. Maybe save the each individual wav (also known as "stems) in a specific folder.
@@martinezdecap You can do it all easily with only one instance of Ableton open. Use the browser on the left to navigate to the project you want to pull from. Click the drop-down arrow to reveal the project files, then you can either drag-and-drop the .als or open the next drop-down if you only want to grab a single track from the project.
@@armstrong.r that’s interesting you just replied. A few days ago I realized I can open up previous projects in the sidebar and load up anything from previous projects. The midi, instruments, and plugins all remain intact.
@@armstrong.r thank you for sharing. I always try to create something new and on the spot, but for the sake of creativity and time it can be useful to drop in something that you’ve used before
The video certainly give me some inspiration on how to create a song - thanks to Catnapp how she's doing it. As for Ableton Live, I am more interested how to use the session view in creating more ideas.
Thanks for this walkthrough. I actually use Logic, but your vocal effects chain was very useful for me and I've already started playing around with a similar chain using the plug-ins available to me in my collection. Your use of saturation was particularly helpful. 💯
Thanks for the detailed explanations. VERY informative! (I might suggest starting on the left side of the screen for your "ctrl+R" shortcut. If you do, you can use the "Tab" button to move to the next one instead of clicking backward.)
I Love catnapp and Like she is explaining in every of her Studio Videos. This Video ist so impressive THANK YOU and btw. I Love her haircut. It reminds me on my childhood when i Cut my Hair with a paperscissor in the dark of the night YaY ☀️
@ableton Just to clarify...you can open 1 project, copy tracks, close that project and then open a new project and just paste the tracks there? Or are the 2 projects open simultaneously?
