I boycott many companies and that includes not buying anything made in China. I buy American or products made by many other countries. It does cost a bit more, but we need to go back to manufacturing in the USA.

@@joesmith6776 I strongly disagree with u! I work in a warehouse for a golf company. Almost everything there is from China. The bags, the putters,the clubs and the gloves all from China. Right now, our warehouse is full of equipment and we were told that there are several containers yet to come that are already sold also. So with that said, I think that Chinese products are very good!

Your kinda right.. the American prisoners had a trial and have an attorney tho, also it's not forced. They get 'compensation' if they work. But the US prison system being privatised seems very unethical and weird to a European like me.

China was being given most favoured nation trading status by the US year after year until it was allowed to join the WTO and kept on blatantly dishonouring the rules. @@basedsalty6970 actually you’re wrong. the 13th amendment of the U.S. Constitution which prohibits slavery “except as a punishment for crime.” Over 2.2 million individuals are incarcerated in state, federal, and private prisons in the United States, and nearly all able-bodied inmates work in some fashion.

Yes many prisoners in western countries perform work. They are convicted, sentenced and adjudicated, not like these in China who are political, religious or cultural prisoners and many of whom have not been tried or convicted of anything. In the west they are also not systematically tortured or starved. Yes, our criminal justice system needs reform, but you cannot equate the two. This is a Human rights situation on a massive scale - worse in China now than it was 30 years ago. Look at what the Uighur are experiencing.
