I didn't know clear pickguards were so controversial... I like it myself. You get the contrasting shape of a pickguard, but you still see all of the wood's finish. I do however think the guitar would look better with darker hardware, maybe even black.

I had to go back and see what everybody was saying about the see-they pick guard. I really like seeing the wood grain when it looks that good. You know cover it up when it’s a Fiesta Red or that kind of finish, but maybe no pick guard at all is the answer. But I wouldn’t jack my jaw about how bad the guitar is. Rock Hard Fluff!

I love my Vola Oz, I usually dislike single coils but the neck pickup with mid gain sounds heavenly !!

Jose D what’s the quality like overall? Can’t decide between a Vola or a Fender Ultra. Recently had to the pleasure to play an Ultra and honestly the cost is almost justified. Fender really stepped up their game.

Absolutely love it! The only reason I never tried a Vola was because of the thicker neck. I was thrilled when I heard they slimmed the neck down. Now I'd love to know the exact thickness of the neck in mm.

Nice, just picked up the DSE color of this guitar. I've found the pickups to be a little noisy, especially with overdrive - even with my hand on the strings. Did you find the same with this guitar? Also - how are you getting those killer distorted tones!

that looks like a burnt finish. If you char the top on ash it will burn the grain and then you can either wire brush out the white wood underneath or sandblast it out. I've done it on several guitars

No offense but I have a Kiesel Delos. I would recommend taking advantage of their Labor Day sale and get a free roasted neck, thinner neck profile, AAT with swamp Ash(or spend $50 and get mahogany) chambered body with any top. Best value for a super strat starting at $1099

Next they need to give the Oz and their other bolt on guitars a ergonomic bolt on joint. Not the chunky square bolt on joint it has now. Also give it a natural or matching Headstock, not a black one that doesn't match anything.

me too, i don't even have large hands but I always prefer large chunky necks, the way it fills the hand is so much more comfortable than a skinny neck

Nice guitars but really not digging the fact that the completely ripped off the Caparison headstock on some designs... the Ares is basically a slightly altered Dellinger... is there a connection between the two companies? If not, then this isn’t cool..
