I sent my girlfriend back into Dark Souls 3 to tackle its two DLCs. I may have underestimated how long she'd get stuck on Sister Friede though, so the Ringed City will get its own video. Midir killed me more than any enemy, boss, trap, pitfall, environmental hazard, or anything in the entire soulsborne genre COMBINED. I swear, that f***ing dragon will haunt my nightmares for the rest of my life. TLDR; If your girlfriend is like me, you might want to get her a diaper for when she finally beats Midir, or she might be sitting on a brick after.

I'm glad she learned this valuable lesson. While yes, completionism doesn't always equate to fun, going off the beaten path to explore a non critical area or take on a side challenge can add a lot more stress and difficulty off your playthrough.

Amazing more so than usual! The editing in the video is spot on, the music choices, the edits, all so well done! And Kudos to the girlfriend for persevering, this is one of the fights that is fairly difficult with a bonk build coz of how fast she is. PS: when I heard "return from whence thou cam'st" and "Leave us be Ashen One" my brain automatically filled in "Yuria surely awaits thee" and "Thou art the Lord of Londor and have thine own subjects to guide", I had to hear those a lot when I was doing my Soul Level 13 run.... xD.

Sister Friede is one of those bosses that had me raging hard but in the end i ended up liking her boss fight a lot, her phase 1 theme is criminally underrated, its my personal favorite in all of souls

@@naiiin6949 if we are going on technicalities, DS1, omnidirectional rolling is a godsend and without it its hell, its why you dont lock on, but if you were like me and played ds2 when it came out blind with 6 adaptability it was fucking dog shit so ds1

I still remember how horrified I was when Friede stood up the third time. after getting one-shot by the third phase after spending 3 hours fighting the first two, I had to quit for the night and try again the next day :(

The Blackflame Friede bait is LEGENDARY, they even give you a slab and play the noise that plays after all victories. But they dont say heir of fire slain or something, so technically they didnt lie, but very close.

Love that your still doing souls content, i myself have played and beat Sekiro and Elden ring and don't know which to tackle next. Im pretty bad at the games still, so the hardest of them i a bad idea, which do you think i should play next? Well the painted world of Ariandel and Ariamis is not exactly the same. The painting of Ariamis in DS1 rotted away because it goes in cycles, just like the real DS world does. And Ariandel is a new world with remnants of the old one.

Sister Friede took over 150 tries for me. It's the hardest boss I've fought in Souls games. I dunno why she was so hard for me, but probabaly because I was using a light dex weapon. Shouldn't have done that, seeing how much she get staggered by this hammer. Also, I would say that is the hardest part. I didn't find the Ringed City hard at all compared. And Gael was surprisingly easy for me. Took me about 6 tries.
