Hailing from Maple Ridge, BC, Madeline Merlo is a CCMA Award and two-time BCCMA Award winning artist, with five Top 15 singles under her belt. She is currently collaborating with some of the biggest names in country on new music based in Nashville, TN, continuing to live up to Spotify’s prediction that she will be one of the biggest rising stars to watch.
Merlo co-wrote her latest single, “Dear Me,” which stays true to the catchy pop-meets-country fusion that Merlo has become known for. The empowering message of the song started out as a journal entry from notes Madeline wrote to her younger self, and it resonates in today’s cultural landscape, where many young women struggle with the pressures of social media.
The song follows the success of the pop-meets-country success single, “Neon Love”, which was Merlo’s fifth Top 15 single. Merlo has gone on to accumulate more than 13 million streams of her hits across all digital platforms from a global streaming audience that covers 61 countries.

Love this song. First heard part of it in a movie. It stuck in my head, had to find it. It wasn’t easy, no credits. So Google and I played guess the lyrics and singer. Glad I figured it out.

Madeline, I was at Dean Brody's concert in Abbotsford and I heard you sing as the opener and I was instantly amazed! The most amazing part was when you said you were from Maple Ridge. I live in Maple Ridge, I have my whole life, and I have the dream of being a singer and reading your story and listening to you talk made me believe that maybe I'm not insane for thinking I could follow my dreams. Recently I also found out that you went to the same High School that I go to now. You are my absolutely biggest inspiration ever. I wish you all the best in these next years, I know that you are going to have insane success.

This is a fantastic song and I know how a person feels my wife passed away 2013 and I miss her and sometimes I feel down just like the song I meet her when we were 14 years old thank you very much for this song You are a great singer for doing this song

I still remember when I first saw you open for Tim Hicks at the free concert in Surrey last year and you were kind of shocked at how many people there were. Congrats on the success so far in the music industry! This song has become my all-time favourite since I first heard it, with the exception of a song you sung at the Basics for Babies fun-day last year, Freedom (or something along those lines), which I do hope to hear as a recording soon! Good luck on your future songs and amazing job so far. You truly are an inspirational Maple Ridge girl, so thank you.

Madeline is like Jewel , Early Taylor Swift , Carrie Underwood , and Carly Pearce all wrapped into one. This “CANADIAN “ is going to be as big as Shania Twain and she will be the Taylor Swift of Canada . If she could open up for Taylor Swift or Shania Twain or Carrie Underwood she would be set for life. Once people see her in concert and hear her CDs she will be a MEGA star just like Shania Twain the Queen of country in Canada.

Writing on 1/10/21 - having heard her newest (and being crazy about a couple of them once again): maybe she's *too* talented, in being able to be chameleonic, drawing from diff genres, riffing on diff argots. Some artists with such lavish talent hit critical mass, when they luck into maturing emotionally and creatively in confluence with the culture's readiness--that's what zeitgeist is--and others remain caviare to the general. We'll just have to see. Rooting for her.

It funny because I go to the same elementary school you went to and you went to school with my very very close friend and neighbour Michelle! You preformed at my school for the Casino Night and you met my parents! Wow look at all the illuminati symbolism in this video. U need someone with a lil more creativity that will not just repeat the same symbolic images as everyone else in the music industry. From the red toenail polish, the bird rising in the air, the sparklers representing thousand points of light, the flowers on dress representing sacrifice, to the red balloon floating in the air also representative of sacrifice. These r all symbols used by the music industry n illuminati to represent human sacrifice. The bird is the Phoenix rising. Red shoes n red paint on feet represents walking in the blood of the sacrifice made for success. They offer these sacrifices to the demon gods they worship. N entertain the public with their symbolic images. U can only see it so many times in so many videos before it starts getting old. The only positive is that Madeline is in the video. Wat does a balloon have to do with a stone sinking down? Or a baren land scape have to do with city lights? Exactly. Not one thing.
