The mom is definitely guilty. That first interview when she reportss her missing says it all. No tears, no sense of urgency, no hysterics. Any mother missing her daughter would be beside herself with worry and it would be evident in her behavior. Jen acted like she was reporting her bicycle stolen. I think they fought that night and the Jen unalived her. Maddie put her foot down and the both of them panicked because they knew the ish was going to hit the fan and the gig was up with them. They are both equally guilty in the unaliving and the disgusting behavior by the monster.
How can he explain dumping her school bag etc out in a dumpster ? How can he explain being seen at the area where her body was found? How can he explain being seen with him moving her body to the trunk? Was Sterns called by Jenn to go pick Maddie up after the party ? Why didn’t Jenn go pick her up , she was off work by then? What was Jenn’s excuse for lying through the whole questioning? There are questions that I’d like to know the answers to.

My belief is that he groomed Maddie so that she may have felt like they were in a relationship. She may have believed he really loved her. I think though deep down she knew what he was doing was wrong and tried to tell her councilor. She said he was "weird," which should have been a huge red flag. When kids don't have the right word to describe something sexual that word is top. I think it's no coincidence it was her 13th birthday. She was left alone with him that night and I believe she'd had enough. At 13 you feel empowered as you are a teen now! I think she may have fought him and he didn't plan to kill her. I think it was an accident due to him trying to shut her up. The way he dealt with disposing of her was so all over the place and SO STUPID it had to be him scrambling. What a horrible human being he is. My heart aches for poor Madeline. She dealt with so much horror so young.

Vinnie If my son was in jail facing those charges I'd probably be writing all kinds of letters knowing they collect evidence while awaiting trial to build up a case knowing that they are being read by jail staff and the state and I'm pretty sure that's what's happening here. I was just watching this thinking about how there is a piece missing….. Sex and human trafficking is very high in this particular area…. A lot of roommates…. Maybe they are figuring out that Jenn has been trafficking her daughter. honestly Vinnie, the second part of the email that you showed. how I read it is he had a habit of leading his parents to believe he was innocent in a situation and was just protecting somebody. just as he has led them to believe in this situation. just goes back to the parents wanting to think their child can do no wrong.

I’m a mother & grand, usually you know how each one of them are if one needed help get them the help 110%, I feel like his parents know more about it especially his mother, I get it when comes to your child, but something heinous-abnormal like this, you have no choice and do the right thing.
