As a roosters fan, I will concede that Edwards deserves the blue spot, he's been consistent and solid for the past few years now, congrats to him. Teddy's been so good for so long and still is, but it's time to let the younger guys take over. That being said, teddy did not deserve the media bashing at all regarding this whole fullback debate, so many have poor memories and forget he was the blue's shining light back then, and contributed heavily to blue's success, where the respect? Yes, that is in the past now and Teddy is not at that origin peak as he was before, and Edwards is now probably considered the best fullback in the game right now, but still, let's appreciate what he has done and simply recognise that his time is up with the blues without kicking him out the front door with such stigma,

You need Burton on the bench in place of Lenui, Burton can play 5/8 or center or even on the wing. Only one prop reserve with 2 back rowers and a lock, is he going to play Yeo as an impact forward when he is one of the best 80 minute players in the game? You reckon Billy would pick Carrigan on the bench?

“Packed with shocks” not really

Firstly it's worth saying Teddy has been a great servant and whilst I agree with the decision it is worth remembering everything he's done. There's no doubt though Edwards has been the form fullback in the NRL for many years. Even in the Panthers v Roosters game this year, that was billed as the battle for the Blues fullback spot, Edwards was head and shoulders better and yet still the pundits picked Tedesco. As a result I suspect this team is only a shock for them.

Stunned that McInnes is picked over Yeo. Madge was at the game last night but must have spent most of it in the bar, because if he'd watched the game he would have seen Yeo power his way through the middle all night and lead his team to a 42-0 drubbing of the Sharks. I thought McInnes deserved a bench spot, and I hope that is how they actually start. And let's hope Hynes fails his fitness test because before he left the field last night, he was having a shocker. Crumbling under pressure just like he does in early finals football. Qld would be licking their lips at seeing him on the field.

How is it that a coach gets sacked then gets picked up to coach at another club. Trent Barret was terrible at Bulldogs and now coaching the Eels. All involved in the NRL are being paid high salaries be they’re players,coaches or other roles and yet they cant find coaches that to coach. They use sacked coaches and if sacked they will only replace the sacked one with a sacked one from another club.

I can recall a fair hoo ha some years ago about States picking Islanders who when called upon would play for their country of birth in preference to Australia. It was then stated that unless a player could represent Australia in RL they would be ineligible for State of Origin selection. Now whilst I admit Joseph Sua'ali'i is a very capable footballer, he's off to Rugby Union after this season, so how can he rep Australia in RL? Is the NSWRL making up their rules as they go?

We don’t need Tedesco, he’s past his prime, stop picking players based on reputation, pick players on current form, Edwards was very unlucky to not get picked the previous two years since Freddy was one of the boys and only picked players from the teams he played for. Madge gets origin and is a hard head.
