Sorry but I have to say this, Madhurji, you need to accept that your dad was one of the many dads in the film industry all over India and the world over who rely on the earning of their children, from childhood to support themselves, their other kids, their lifestyles, etc. And when this person wants to marry and settle down then they find some excuse or the other to sabotage their lives. We have seen this too often with actresses like Azra, Sarika, Neetu Singh, etc. They are very few like Hema Malini who refused to be manipulated by her family forever. So, these dependent parents and families do it under the garb of love, care, protection, when they are the ones who need to realize, they have to let go of the hen that lays the golden egg. To top it all the dad gave everyone the impression as a self-respecting family man. What kind of a man eats the earning of his daughter, and her job is not because of her education. These kinds of parents don't give their children any good lessons in life, no emotional backing or standing and these kids end up making wrong decisions over and over again. If backstabbing begins at home, who do you trust? The answer is your Creator and yourself only!!

This whole story about "Love" and "Romance" is hogwash. It was all about money. The break-up between Dilip Kumar and Madhubala happened because he refused to work in Madhubala's production company owned by her father. Kishore Kumar agreed to help them by working in few movies of her production company and that sealed the deal ( marriage between Kishore and Madhubala). One of those movies was "Mehlon ke khawab" released in 1957.

I have seen several interviews of MadhurJi. She has always been very gracious, articulate, forthcoming yet nonjudgemental. Her love and admiration for MadhubalaJi comes through everytime she speaks of her. She is surprisingly forgiving of those who wronged MadhubalaJi. What we see in this episode seems to have become an everyday occurrence. The value system of the society, in general, is changing. Love, loyalty and commitment to family are fast disappearing. In this context, previously, too, MadhurJi gratefully spoke of MadhubalaJi's love and commitment to the family. And, how ungrudgingly, she, as the sole braidwinner, supported the entire family of dozen+, and provided the younger siblings the best of education, which she herself did not get. 🙏

Good interview, but she had many of her personal feelings, cloud her opinion about the people who were around Madhu bala's life. How could she not mention Chalti ka Nam Gari or Howrah Bridge, the 2 movies that she made with the Ganguly family and gathered awards and recognitions. Why would she not tell that Kishore had converted, changed his name to Abdullah to be able to marry Madhubala to demonstrate his deep commitment and affection for her. How could she not acknowledge that if Dilip sahab was an iconic star of his time, Kishore also has fame and stature, unparalleled to any in his field, till date. She didn't like Kishore for neglecting her sister, when her days were numbered. But Kishore himself could not face the slow death of his wife of angelic beauty. Her kind words about Amit was genuine and loving but even after so many years her disappointment from her jijaji still persists. I don't blame her if I was her, I might feel the same.

Beauty of Madhubala has been captivating. Madhubala had cute look of innocent simplicity on her face------ a sort of natural beauty, which was not that much dependent upon make-up. I think this is the reason why people still remember Madhubala, even so many years after February 1969. She passed away in Feb 1969, at a young age of 36, unfortunately. She was the victim of adverse circumstances ---- heart break of romance, and severity of heart disease which caused her premature death.

Khan Sahab had sune ki chidya who was the back bone of financial stability. Yet,he dictated every move of his daughter to ensure his full control on his daughter with out caring for the happiness of Madubala. He should have been more understanding.

I would like to share an anecdote with you all that when the song "koi humdam Na Raha" was being recorded at that time Madhubala ji was seriously ill. Kishore Da cried like a child after recording the song in the recording studio. When she died in 1969 he was seriously depressed and was never able to overcome that loss, I wonder how the playful Kishore Kumar suddenly changed into a man with deep understanding. I really don't understand how can people write or say stupid things about such a beautiful couple and such a loving person like Kishore Kumar. Kishore Kumar love Madhu ji selflessly without any hesitation about his money his time and the mental trauma he faced after losing her. It's not about Kishore Kumar or Madhubala but it's about a person who should be praised for for his sacrifices but some people defamed him. After all this I tell myself that "tu Kaun hai Tera Naam hai kya, Sita mein yahan Badnaam hui." That's all 😭

I agree that No one can do justice to Madhubala ji. I also feel that madhubala's biopic will have to take names of Dilip kumar, Kishore Kumar, even if Madhubala's family is okay with the portrayal of events, other might not be. I think Documentary series would be seriously nice, with interviews of people, their own words, without any masala.

After seeing this interview, I found the Time of India article dated 3 rd Feb in which Ms Kaniz Balsara 's daughter has given first hand information of the horrific incident on 29th Jan. After hearing the details I think the family should complain to the New Zealand Prime Minister who is a very loving and caring woman and request for a criminal action to be taken on th perpetrators especially the Daughter-in-law and also the Air line allowing and helping them to complete their horrific incident, where in anything could have happened to the 96 year old lady. Moreover such type of ghinona action should not go unpunished. Then only nobody will dare to repeat such a crime again😢 🙏

I watched Mughal-e-Aazam recently. What a beautiful woman Madhubala was ❤ Maine to apna cover pic bhi unhi ka laga rakha hai.. And perhaps the reason was that she didn't go to school.. Too much education tends to corrupt the beauty of an individual... And truly she was the most beautiful woman ever!! At least India me to unse khoobsurat lady aaj tak nahi huyi. How beautiful she looked in that white dress of the queen at the ending of Mughal-e-Aazam was simply epic! I just could not take my eyes off her!! Its a shame we are not taught about her life and struggles in school. If today's girls can imitate 5 percent of Madhubala's life they'll be on cloud nine. But the sad thing is that unki kahaani koi batata hi nahi.

Actress Chanchal, who was the sister of Madhubala has a daughter named Nafisa Ebrahim. Nafisa shares on Instagram, anecdotes related to Madhubala's life and family, time and again. Once, she posted a head-scratching tale of the mismanagement of Madhubala's liquid assets. There are no names taken, only hints. I quote the entire write-up here. It is worth a read. Madhubala's Niece wrote: " In the mid 60's my aunt was very unwell due to a heart ailment and was going through a massive financial crunch, since she had stopped working in films. The 3 cars that she owned Plymouth, Chrysler and Chevrolet had also been sold off. There was this individual who came to visit her during her time of distress. This individual assured her that her lifelong savings would be well invested in a timber business and she would get a fixed return every month and all her worries would end. She was truly innocent and naive. She gave all her hard earned money packed in a suitcase to this individual.... As time elapsed this individual not only refused to receive her calls let alone pay any returns on her investment. She panicked and at last sent for my mother by sending a maid with an enclosed letter. Madhu aunty was pleading for her money over the phone, when my mother entered her room unannounced. In return that individuals' sibling was hurling abuses and threats over the phone. My mother recalls she had turned blue in fear. She confessed to my mother that she didn't even have enough money to pay the next month's bills and cried bitterly. Well, my mother Chanchal is very well known for her volatile disposition. She told Madhu aunty, " I fought with Abba and gave you the keys of your lifelong savings and now you have done this. How can you ever trust the same person who has already deceived and humiliated you earlier? " Then Mummy made the call to another sibling of this individual and asked for the money. Fortunately, this intervention procured 98% of the money within a few days. This same money helped her survive till the very end. Only thing is this bag of money vanished suddenly after her death. Today when I see the same individual , so old, blessed or should I say cursed with an extremely long life, no memory, poor health, coming in and out of hospitals.. I feel that life has come full circle. Justice has been delivered."
