Yes, yes yes! I watch many many many dance routines each year and I wish I had the pleasure of seeing this one live!!!!! It is now my curse that I critique every dance I see, ( some time that all I can do ) but I never once thought about the technic. ( if I go back I might see things you could work on) I am sure the judges and your teachers have a few things to say, BUT, i just plain out ENJOYED YOUR ROUTINE. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
It was a good dance, but as the music got dramatic the dance should've gotten dramatic as well. She stayed at the same pace, didn't fully extend her knees (which could cause injury), didn't point/arch her feet at the right times, and didn't really get lost in the music. You could tell she was focusing on her moves only, not feeling the piece. Overall, it was a good piece. I hope nobody thinks I'm being rude, but in professional dance you get constructive criticism, which makes you better. Top dancers always get criticism, because you are supposed to take it as motivation to do better. Getting criticism means you are worth perfecting, and paying attention to, if you don't get criticism when you are wrong, you won't feel the joy and passion of feeling amazing when you nail that piece like nobody's business. Like you are the owner of that piece.
Agree 100%! No feeling... loved the musicality at times but she had to let go at the end... and she didn't! Plus I think they cut out the best parts of the song :) I would have mixed it diffrently! But ofcourse, great dancer
I also agree there are minor flaws but it was still a strong competitive solo by a strong talented dancer. She got to the top 2 in Abby ultimate dance competition
I think she was extending fully 8/10 times. Some girls' legs don't straighten or hyper-extend enough...that could be for a number of reasons (genetics, not enough stretching/foam rolling). Regardless, if she can't really hyperextend at all, any power-move that puts load on her joints could cause her to bend.
People commenting on any videos: “Cool video!” People commenting on a dance video: “That was good but she should’ve danced on a higher point, knees needed to extend, the choreography was mediocre”
Lindsay Jordan it’s called El Tango de Roxanne. It’s from a movie called Moulin Rouge! starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. The choreographer cut out the parts where Ewan McGregor was singing, but it’s an amazing soundtrack!

+marbelys marin este es jazz, otro género de danza. pero se inspiró en el ballet de española. Son demasiados géneros que yo sigo confundida para diferenciarlos.
