You shouted out to me! It's so amazing to see you use a technique that has been a staple of mine ever since I started sampling. That Madlib track is one of my favorites too! I'll never forget walking bored through K-Mart 8 years ago stumbling upon New Amerykah part 1. I took that baby home and it never left my ears for a while. Madlib was one of the ones who inspired me to purchase the SP and seeing all this happen on this video rocked my world! Thanks again for throwing this out there and keeping the SP people in your thoughts.
duuuude! I swear I've just been picking this out in a ton of madlib joints and wondering how he did it. You rock J!!! and yes to the skype consultation!
+Verysickbeats 555 is the better choice, with its usb port, flash memory and support for newer mac OS. The 808 is cool but the zip drive has its challenges. Positive Energy!
Turn Table to sample vinyls... is it worth it? Or is it not worth it now days? I see people grabbing samples now days from online sources.. btw.. can you do videos on turntables.. for rookies.. Lol..
it depends on u really. anything can be used as a sample source. im not really a turntable expert unfornately. i just fake my way thru LOL...u may like this vid tho ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mUUA6PSx4yQ.html
U can make drums with a spoon and a table without needed anyone else than you. Im adding, so much beat makers dont event use a MPC nowadays...Vinyls have an awesome sounds but it cost a lot of money i think thats why less people use turntables...So many options to sample !
Wassup, Filt. Have you ever used 2000XL as a midi controller? How does it work? I'm considering buying midi cables to hook up my MPC to interface and there are oldschool midi cables, which I can have, because I have midis in my interface and there are midi to usb, as far as I know midi is midi wether it's via oldschool midi or usb, but since this MPC is an oldschool machine I don't know if I can expect same performance as with my midi usb keyboard, never used oldschool midi cables. Peace :)

I wanna use tremelo effect like this video, however I have only Maschine. Is it possible to use tremolo effect by Maschine? If possible, I wanna know how to use it.
Hey bro, can you do a video on how you take your finished product from the MPC 2000xl and track it out to Ableton or any other DAW along with the connections from the MPC to the computer? Thank you and all the best.
can anyone recommend a forum or web based gathering place for producers who make stuff like this? Trying to find a network of like minded beatmakers to chill with and learn from
I believe the original commenter was trying to say Madlib takes on the role of paying syth bass for example on his joints. unlike many producers, Madlib does have several nearly irreplicable basslines on some of his best records. If you ask me, Madlib is bold enough to play an instrument after two weeks and say he's ready to do an album... i.e. Madlib is a beast lol
again, these vids are not to say exactly what the producers have done, just inspiration...maybe i shoulda mentioned that he used the time stretch function but someone would still find a way to complain LOL
check ths out man i made this beat n i beeeeeen rappen since been rappen baby bless man wheeeeeeeew lets get it old school mammoth media bruh bruh sounds to quiet oh well
