Curious why you say that? Is this your taste or what you think Americans will appreciate? If the latter, its certainly true that most Americans probably dont know much of them other than their early stuff. But, are those the ones who will be at the show? Regardless, they've created some great stuff across the decades that people should hear, and I think, will appreciate. Madness, for this American, is old and new and everything in between and I'm looking forward to hearing that in NYC. Wish Chas was still performing with them is all. This is probably a mute discussion anyway as I've seen video of from this tour and, as they say, the show is a mix of past and future.

I agree. I'm a big fan of them, saw them playing in 3 different countries so far, planning a 4th this summer but the new stuff sounds like old guys balads to me, far from the frenzy two-tone era. I guess that most fans aged accordingly and find these tunes nice to their ears but Madness divorced from ska long ago. Why couldn't them keep the nutty boys attitude as the Stones who are still faithfull to their rock & roll style?

@@joseph9074 Such a shame that this is true. Even among those who do know them, they only know them from Our House. That's like describing the Beatles as just that mop top band that sings I Want to Hold Your Hand. Oh well, I don't need everyone else to appreciate them as I do and it makes getting tickets easier. :-) I'm lucky/grateful to live near NYC and planning on going to see them there and it'll be nice to share a space with other Madness fans.

@@joseph9074 I want to add to my previous comment that regardless of how popular they are in the US, they are all in their 60's and have family's, lives and commitments. So, that likely puts a limit on how much touring they can do and so they have to be selective. With that said, it would be interesting to know why they chose the locations they did. So, why Oakland or Seattle and not LA?
