Waheed Jeelani is born in the Khanyaar area of Srinagar city and spent early childhood in the remote village near revered Shrine of Alamdar-i-Kashmir Shaikh Noor Din Noorani (RA), Watakuloo, Charari Sharief, District Budgam Kashmir. To accomplish academic career, joined Amar Singh College, Srinagar and went to Kashmir University for masters in Political Science.
Inspired by melodious voice of mother and influenced by the music of Kashmir, started career formally during studies, after receiving initial guidance in music by Jenab G.N.Sheikh, a celebrated vocalist and music composer of Kashmir. Thereafter had formal training in Light Music at Radhika Music Institute, Bandra Mumbai and was also taught light classical music by Guru Pt. Malay Banerjee of Bangal at Andheri Mumbai.
Waheed Jeelani was approved in All India Radio as singer in 1991, skills as singer and a music composer further sharpened with affectionate patronage and guidance of celebrated Music Maestros of Kashmir like Pt. Bhajan Sopori, Jinab Nassar-ul-Lah Khan, Jinab Mohammad Ashraf and others. Dedication, commitment and hard work have made him to contribute further towards the state’s Art & Culture during his last 32 year.

Bashir Marazi was born and brought up in Drogajan, Dalgate area of Srinagar,though his ancestors were from Safapore village which is on way to Bandipore. Now he along with his family are living in Shivpora Srinagar.
Bashir Marazi got his basic education in Islamia School Drogajan Dalgate.
In 1984 Sheikh Ghulam Ahmed Warsi ,took him in his fold after listening to his naat which he had penned down and as such became a member of Warsi cult.
He has published four books till now which are based on naats and kashmiri sufi poetry.These books are
1. Irfani Waris
2. Virsai Waris
3. Ehsani Waris
4. Khati Irshad (Kuliyat)
Currently two more books are under process based on sufi kalams.
Professionally he was running a retail shop of automobile parts near Durganag Srinagar.
He was introduced on Door Darshan by Jenab Farooq Nazaki in 1993.His songs have been sung by all prominent singers of Kashmir both from lite and folk music.
