Actually, it didn't exactly make her evil, it just made her a little coco in her coconuts. Insanity and evil aren't the same definitions. Evil doesn't even exist, because it's just a random world where everyone does what they think is right, even if the solution is very selfish and very messed up. I think that's what our poor heroine had to go through. "Evil" is NOT like insanity. Insanity is something you can have problems controlling 24/7, something you experience damaging you psyche isn't good for you, no matter how good you think it is. What Homura felt though, that was a twisted sense of "Love", and side of love we all hide or deny. I think the creators knew that and showed us something we keep hidden. But no matter how we look at it, love IS an insanity. We also all have emotions, and emotions, like the incubators said, ARE a kind of madness. So, like the Cheshire Cat once said: We're all insane... I can see why you would think that though. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound snobbish and all knowing...
