The older man that came on stage at the end, is SYLVIO CICCONE, Madonna's real life father.

This was fun to watch my first time. I think this and her confessions tour were her best.

Yes, it was her home town Detroit performance where her father lives, so he attended and appeared on stage. He appears in several of her interviews and concerts over the years, including the Blond Ambition Tour.

This was her first tour. And yes, she did keep it quite mild compared to future tours. I’ll tell you this, the girl knows how to entertain a crowd. Her energy and stamina is unlike anything you see today. I’ve been to 3 Madonna concerts thus far; The Who’s That Girl Tour, The Sticky and Sweet Tour & The MDNA Tour. She never disappointed each time I saw her. The two of my faves though are the Blond Ambition & The Confessions Tours. Those I wish I had seen live. But still fantastic to watch on tv. Hopefully you’ll make that journey. And possibly the Truth or Dare documentary. It doesn’t disappoint. Anyway enough of my rambling. Great reactions and glad you split them up!⭐️🙌🏼

The Virgin Tour was a decent starter tour, her tours get bigger and grander. Yes "Gambler" live is so much better than the studio

Great reaction! For me, this was 80s at its peak. Also, not sure if anyone has mentioned this but she also performed Borderline, Burning Up and Angel on this tour but were unfortunately edited out for the VHS release. Now that she’s back with WB, hopefully we will see a complete DVD release. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

HELLO, YES IN THE END he was his father also because he was also in his hometown. pity that in the official version the lives of burning up, angel, and bordeline have been cut also the material girl rock intro has been cut , which are only found in the amateur versions of the concert

At this time Madonna wanted to do dances that her fans could recreate themselves. And Madonna has always believed in structuring her shows so the energy ebbs and flows and she'd build on it as the tours went on. as stated before her manager and band had all been working for Michael before starting working with her. And everyone had for awhile been saying that the baseline for LAV sounded Ike Billie Jean but Nile Rodgers says it was actually Can't Help Myself by The Four Tops. Patrick Leonard the MD thought it would be fun to poke fun at the complaint and she went with it. It would begin a tradition of her doing interpolations of songs during her concerts. She claims she lost her shoe and tripped at the VMAs she didn't mean to end up on the floor. She knew Material Girl was hit when she first heard it but she always saw it as ironic, by the time the tour started she was upset people didn't see the irony. So thats the ending. And yes that was Silvo Ciccone himself. His parents immigrated from small town in Italy in 1918, they couldn't read Italian nor could they read or write English. They had 6 kids and Silvo after the Korean War became the only one of her siblings to go to college. He ended up being an engineer at Chrysler working on defense contracts. His co-worker and best friend from the war introduced him to his sister Madonna and it was love at first sight. He let her do dance.instead of take piano and was proud she graduated a semester Early from high school as Valedictorian with a full ride dance scholarship to the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. He wanted her to become an accountant or something. He was furious when she dropped out to fly to NYC to become a famous dancer. She says he would still lecture her about finishing her degree until around 2001. Like I said previously she wanted the tours to be a unique experience and chose to do different arrangements. This trend.contiunes for The Who's That Girl World Stadium Tour, the first time a woman ever sold.out a stadium world tour(stadiums are 35k.plus and on that tour performed to some 200k people in France.) Her live tours are basically new songs. They cut out the part before Everybody where she talked about her box, and the more risque performances of Borderline and Burning Up and she'd drop f bombs while talking to the audience that were taken out for the vhs. So yeah people that she was over the line. And remember you are looking at this in 2023 not 1985

I know you said, you don’t like to do tours, but I sure hope you react to her next tour after the True Blue album. You will get a huge surprise as to her growth as a touring artist.

If it came down to choosing between her MUSIC or her TOURS, trust me, it would have to be her TOURS. That's what Madonna was really born for. From here on, It only gets BIGGER, BOLDER and BETTER !!!!

Once again thank you for reacting to this tour. I agree with your letter grade of a B+. Hope you change your mind watching her other tours especially Blond Ambition tour which is an important tour that set the standard on how other artist tour. Btw that's the first and last time she performed Gambler. ☹

Let's face it: The other artists, those before her, or the ones from her own generation, and those who come after her, they would be dead (literally) attempting to do even 10% of what Madonna did on this tour - singing live AND at the same time doing those dance moves consistently from one song to another. If you watch the show carefully, they are not exactly "freestyle" or whatever, almost everything has to match the music. I would not dare to complain anything. This might be her "simplest-looking tour" but still the WHOLE THING is elaborate enough, it could have murdered anyone else or at least got them hospitalized. A rock band is like a bunch of vanilla kids compared to her.

Madonna - born 1958 in Bay City Michigan, grew up and schooled in Detroit so she had, as she says, grown up with many styles of music in the days of Motown before heading to NYC in 1978 to fulfill this yearning inside her that she couldn't pinpoint what it was. It manifested itself with every stop she made but kept on moving on a pursuit she couldn't have dreamed of. Here father an Italian immigrant worked as an engineer and designer for the automobile industry Chrysler. Tony met Madonna's mother also named 'Madonna' who was a French Canadian migrant that worked as a radiologist-Xray . Her mother 'Madonna' died when Madonna was a 5yo girl from breast cancer at the tender age of 30 - its now believed that she got cancer (as nobody in her family have cancer) due to no protection of daily contact with xrays machines when there were no regulations with the birth of xray before it was known to be harmful and cause cancer. You will find a lot of her songs from True Blue album onwards that harp back to her early life. The Virgin Tour announced on March 1985 - Prior to the tour, Madonna's only live performances were limited to evening shows at Danceteria, CBGB and Mudd Club, and only the 1984 MTV Video Music Awards, where she performed her song "Like a Virgin". Following the success of the Like a Virgin album, the record label wanted to milk-in the success of the album by sending Madonna on a worldwide tour. However, the tour was restricted within United States and Canada. It did not visit Europe, Asia or other continents. Early on there were plans to schedule dates in Australia and Japan due to Madonna's large fan bases in both countries; however, the managers were too nervous about spending so much money on a new artists that has never toured in such large venues let alone around the world - they quickly canned the idea before madonna was hooked on it. In the end several more U.S. dates were added and the tour was moved to larger concert venues due to overwhelmingly strong ticket sales. Madonna was quite nervous to perform in front of a huge audience, and singing with a live band for the first time. During a 2009 interview with Rolling Stone, Madonna was asked 'regarding her feelings and emotions during the tour, since it was the first time she was playing in arenas'. Madonna replied saying, "That whole tour was crazy, because I went from playing CBGB and the Mudd Club to playing sporting arenas. I played a small theater in Seattle, and the girls had flap skirts on and the tights cut off below their knees and lace gloves and rosaries and bows in their hair and big hoop earrings. I was like, 'This is insane!' After Seattle, all of the shows were moved to arenas. I've never done a bus tour. Everyone says they are really fun." This Madonna you saw had never performed in a venue larger than clubs or theatres - That was her first time in an arena - It was truly a Virgin Tour - Madonna did lose her virginity on that first concert as she seductively rolled around the stage floor on heat lol.
