Madonna had the “it” factor. she was charismatic, trailblazing, and avant garde. She made her own path, established trends - she was a disruptor and an innovator. She was smart, and passionate, and talented.
Dr Joyce Brothers, thinking people would get bored of her. Well, that never happened in the 80s, or the 90s, or the 00s... and she's still making good music even now. Madame X is one of her more ambitious and creative albums ever, and boy, she certainly predicted the shit show that's 2020.
Lol.. is Madonna flesh and blood yet? The 80's was a wonderful time, but in hindsight looking at these types of clips (especially the news clips and some really clueless macho interviews) one can tell how very frightened the so called establishment was of her. Long Live the Queen!
Queen of pop! Respect to her as she invented herself, and never looked back. Her music is really good and she made an indelible mark in pop music and culture
Obviously Dr. Joyce Brothers needs to think again. Let me tell you something I learned. When you hear something negative like that from a person that makes you even fight harder to do what you want.
You kind of have to give Dr Joyce a break here. I was 18 in 1984 and everyone who had burst on to the scene with such an impact up until then had been gone in 6 months. How was anyone to know that this latest girl, who presented herself in such an 'accessible' way, was actually way smarter than anyone gave her credit for. How was anyone to know that this underwear flashing, 'material girl' had actually come out of the underground NY art scene and had those sensibilities? Madonna is unprecedented, she is the most successful female performer of all time. How could anyone have predicted that or known this is how it would begin? Thanks M.
