The concept of the video was lost on you. The video was an anti war statement. It depicts the atrocities and the glamorizing of war. She said in a statement that she had "written a song and created a video which expresses my feelings about our culture and values and the illusions of what many people believe is the American dream - the perfect life" and that it "expresses a panoramic view of our culture and of war through the view of a female perspective" . I don't know what you were talking about commenting on trans people ( as there were none in the video) and what did you even mean by stating the lgbtqia people like to make more enemies out of supporters?????? Thats ludicrous and EXTREMELY ill informed. This whole reaction seemed off topic, lost and at certain times offensive.

my comments were lost on you. let me break it down. 1) I support equal rights across the board. However, the LGBTQIA crowd has a history of being aggressive towards ANYONE they deem an enemy. Daphne Dorman comes to mind as such an example. I even have some subs, supporters who are in that group. 2) The fashion culture is full of a blend of straight, LGBTQIA, etc. so that's where that "thread" came from. 3) I don't understand how you could NOT SEE that fact that I saw it was anti war, as I quote; "It depicts the atrocities and the glamorizing of war. She said in a statement that she had "written a song and created a video which expresses my feelings about our culture and values and the illusions of what many people believe is the American dream - the perfect life"". The clip art LITERALLY depicts an amputee with "The American Dream" in red, white and blue. 4) I really don't care whom I offend at this point. I am not responsible for every fear that comes across the internets mind. If you don't like what I do, simply move on. I am CERTAINLY not changing for you. 5) Your assumptions of who, and what I am or about are unequivocally false. You have made WILD accusations based upon one video. I would say from an evidence standpoint you haven't the slightest idea about me. I'll let my other videos do the talking for me, all 650+ of them. This is more time and effort than quite frankly, you deserve.

Madonna’s catalogue is huge. Plenty of light pop in multiple genres, Some amazing ballads, Lots of button pushing topics, personal stuff, spiritual stuff, introspective stuff…..she’s covered it all. She is an actual artist more than a “pop” singer.

As a Madonna fan really enjoyed your analysis of the song and video. Released in 2003, she recorded it before the start of the Iraq war and made the video before the war started. When the song was released the war had started so she pulled this version of the video as she didnt want it to be misinterpreted as her not supporting American troops. The video was only released officially by her in the ast 6 months 20 years later. Would be interested for you to react to anything else of hers as your reaction was very intelligent and clearly you understood the statement she was making. Very enjoyable reaction. Thank you :)

hello there are several alternative endings of this video . At the time of 2003 it was removed from the rotation due to the great controversy that arose politically over the video. For the first time, Madonna decided to change the video only because of the death threats directed at her children. It wasn't until 20 years later that they officially released this version

Wow, this such a sincere and well observed take! You really hit a lot of the nails (ie the satirical bent of some of the lyrics) Yeah, her music is pretty tailored to the masses but she always tries to bring a little substance Please do Erotica or Bad Girl or Bedtime Story next!!

It made it more interesting to see this reaction because you are not a fan. And with Madonna, there are two faces, she has that pop comercial side and a more experimental/raw side wich comes in different forms; photography, remixes, videos of her live concerts, and music videos sometimes. The genius about her, in comparison with all the other pop stars of any generation, is that shes willing to take the "less traveled road" and sometimes it can be shocking cause she really confront you with things that you never even imagined from a pop female star, like the video interlude for the song What it feels like for a girl on her Drowned world tour, showing hentai porn, a girl being abused and kind of Robotech footage with it, but all making perfect sense with the message of the song. Since youre not a fan, dont even dare to take just any video reaction request, or youll find yourself being bored to death, and also a bit dissapointed, trust me.
