DEEΡΞRSΗΛDΞS ofHOUΣΞ It would be an idea, and she has already considered it. But with what albums sell nowadays, it may be a worthless effort money wise.
I made 3 full CD's of unreleased trax and added a couple demo cuts and non album hits to total 56 songs. Probably 45 are actual unreleased songs unheard unless you troll Utube to find them. Songs like History and Cyberraga and Ain't No Big Deal aren't really unreleased but sort of unheard by regular fans. Same with Get Stupid and Sorry Remix that I threw on the CDs. 'New' songs to most people.
@@sergioampv1640 that's really an interesting question, i think she still would be successful but the general public would have a different perception about her. Her singing lessons are part of her evolution as an artist and that's the reason of her longevity also.
It's truly amazing how many of her early demos features melodies, themes, and vocals that would later become what we now regard as quintessential Madonna sound. She truly always had it!
@@Mania28 of course not. Music was a great album in 2000 the song music was her last numer 1 in the billboard chart. Confessions on a dance floor was a great album and tour in 2006. Sticky and sweet tour in 2009 was the tour making the most money for a female artist. And the legend is there. She's still alive and she's amazing.
She's reluctant to work with Pat again because choosing William Orbit to produce Ray of Light instead of Pat after he'd already co-written some of it's songs with her put a rift in their working relationship.
Unfortunately Madge haven't done it 'cause I don't think she bothers about selling millions album at this point of her career. It's all about satisfaction in terms of arts & what she's got to say; Madame X
@@mcairolyakup Nah. She indeed cares about selling, otherwise she would NOT have released a reggaeton/trap-tinged single with one of the hottest latino stars around (Maluma) and another single with current rap fave Swae Lee. The problem is that, in light of Madame X flopping and those two singles flopping too, now her fans claim that she only cares about "art." Such bullshit.
She doesn't like looking back or reliving the past, even though an album of unreleased songs would reinvigorate her career. Kinda short sighted of her if you ask me.
I’m so in love with this gem. One of her best vocal performances ever!!! Raw and unpolished. I miss this Madonna. Miss her a lot. I’m surprised it wasn’t a B-Side. I definitely would have made it one.
My first thought as well, it's actually very close sounding to Supernatural. I suspect that may be why it didn't make the album and why Supernatural was relegated to being a b-side - too close to Who's that Girl/True Blue and not close enough to the sound of Like a Prayer.
They were angels with dirty faces 'Til they fell from somebody's graces They were soldiers without a mission But they were angels They had a vision Like Robin Hood they were rebels Some say they kept their company with the devil No money, no social graces But they could make them tremble in higher place They were angels with dirty faces 'Til they fell from somebody's graces They were soldiers without a mission But they were angels They had a vision They fought frustrations with laughter Made men forget just what they were running after They laugh without any purpose Taught them to trust their feelings beneath the surface They were angels with dirty faces 'Til they fell from somebody's graces They were soldiers without a mission But they were angels They had a vision They had dirty faces They had dirty faces Black is white And day is night Wrong can be right In best light Life is a game, it's a perfect place For angels with dirty faces Dirty faces They were angels with dirty faces 'Til they fell from somebody's graces They were soldiers without a mission But they were angels They had a vision
Very nice, especially the lyrics! Would've been a nice addition to the album's 30 Anniversary edition and surely would've hiked sales. Thank you Patrick Leonard for letting us hear it, finally.P.S. This is the voice I miss on Madame X.
Like a prayer part 2 1-angels with dirty faces 2-supernatural 3-just a dream (without donna delory) 4-goodbye my forever friend 5-first there a kiss 6-possessive love (without donna delory) 7-angelo 8-wouldn't you love to love me(feat prince) 9-love attack 10-like a prayer (demo) 11-cherish (demo)
I read in a book there was another track called "Love attack" and it was completely recorded but didn't fit in the album length. So there's more future hidden surprises. Love how everything is surfacing! #Madonna #Love
I don't know if you could include Out of Time (partly because it turned into Till Death Do Us Part). But it would be lovely for a Like A Prayer PT 2 to come out.
Good on Pat Leonard releasing these LAP demos for free for fans to enjoy. One of her old house keepers from this time had been given a cassette by M of the demos and some finished tracks for the album that would become LAP. M wanted her house keeper to listen to the tape when she was driving around and then tell her what songs she liked best and what songs she found herself remembering and singing along with. The house keeper had put her cassette in an auction and she was going to have rich fans out bidding each other to hear these unreleased songs but Pat said that the fans should hear them for free! ❤❤🎉🎉
I read that: “Angels With Dirty Faces” is a song written and recorded by Madonna and Patrick Leonard for Like A Prayer album in 1988, however it was decided later that song was “not right” for the album and was cut from the final tracklist.
I have so many Madonna unreleased & demos from her in my ITunes but I’ve never heard the song I absolutely love it, I am definitely adding this to my iTunes with all the other Madonna demos & unreleased songs.
"Whaddya you hear...Whaddya you say?"..."Go Rocky! Madonna's second song in reference to the great James Cagney...the other being 'White Heat' from True Blue...
Because it doesn’t fit at all musically. Would have fit much better on True Blue or WTG OST. LAP is my favorite album of all time. Just no. Maybe a B-side like Supernatural.
Once again, another terrific gem of a song that definitely would have been a huge major number one song. Why wasn't it released is beyond my imagination?
They were angels, with dirty faces, Till they fell from somebody’s graces, They were soldiers without a mission, But they were angels, they had a vision. Like Robin Hood they were rebels, Some say they kept their company with the Devil, No money no social graces, But they could make men tremble in higher places. They were angels, with dirty faces, Till they fell from somebody’s graces, They were soldiers without a mission, But they were angels, they had a vision. They fought frustration with laughter, Made men forget just what they were running after, Holy life without any purpose, Taught them to trust their feelings beneath the surface. They were angels, with dirty faces, Till they fell from somebody’s graces, They were soldiers without a mission, But they were angels, they had a vision. They had dirty faces x 2 Black is white and day is night, Wrong can be right in the best light, Life is a game it’s a perfect place, For angels with dirty faces, dirty faces. They were angels, with dirty faces, Till they fell from somebody’s graces, They were soldiers without a mission, But they were angels, they had a vision.
@@ReformedOrderPart2 My breakdown of our conversation. You said it sounded sort of like Who’s That Girl, La Isla Bonita, and Supernatural. I agree but feel it’s too dated sounded (sounds like 86 or 87 Madonna) to make the cut for LAP. You asked, who said that? I said that I did. And Madonna apparently agreed with me because she left it off of LAP bc it doesn’t fit in with the rest of the album sonically. Your turn.
Wow. Four unreleased songs leaked before Madame X was released and now another demo showed up. Still waiting for Warning Signs and Actions Speak Louder Than Words.
I don’t think this was recorded as part of the Like A Prayer sessions. It sounds like pre LAP stuff. I reckon this was a 1988 recording session for a track to go with the Sean Penn movie ‘No Angels’ which was filmed in 1988 and was written by David Mamet who also wrote ‘Speed the Plow’ which Madonna starred in throughout 1988. And the lyrics also sound like they were written on assignment to fit a movie title. It’s so wonderful to hear something new from this era and I wish they’d work together again but I’m also glad this was not on ‘Like a Prayer’, it would have been a step backwards musically compared to everything else on the album and it would have been a mistake to put a 1987/88 sounding track on a 1989 album. Pop music was evolving quickly back then
Patrick Leonard posted these on RU-vid today. If you are gonna post them like they come from your own personal stash, not cool. At least credit where they came from: PATRICK LEONARD.
