Her work is so so detailed...we miss so so much from just 1 or 2 angles. Choreographed for Theatre...the whole stage..we miss so so much...these b roll angles are lovely. We see the stuff we miss from different angles. X
Thank You for posting this, I was at this show in NYC @ MSG. My sister took me for my 21st Birthday To The Girlie Show, This was my 3rd Madonna Tour. The Girlie Show was Amazing & This is the only Tour out of 11 Tours that she performed 1 of my all time Fav Songs "Rain" The Girlie Show was truly incredible. I've been to every tour since, I just saw The Madame X Tour on Sept 24, 2019 in Brooklyn NY & The Madame X Tour was my 10th Madonna Tour (I missed The Virgin Tour 1985) Thank you again
Thankfully she ditched the studio vocals for Fever when the original DVD was recorded. Fever here sounds pretty odd with her singing over the album vocals.
@@Bella-qw4re actually after blond ambition she swore to never tour again as it was so taxing. she did 57 shows for blond ambition, many back to back on consecutive nights. when she decided to go on the girlie show there were only 39 dates and she wanted to only go to countries and cities where she had not toured earlier. thats why she went to australia , turkey and israel. she only visited 3 cities in america (philly, michigan and new york). i think i remember reading that it had something to do with the press being so hateful towards her, but she decided to include America as a treat for her fans and cos she did not want the press to win out at the end
This is better not only for music and voice..... There is less light in the back of the stage . In Sidney too lights due to tv broadcast like the blond in Barcelona and Nice
Did she really schedule so few shows in North America she was afraid they wouldn't sell out due to the Erotica backlash?? Well that is what some podcasters claim but I don't agree with it. I think she would have sold out stadiums no matter how many shows she scheduled
Right?! Michael felt this way around this time as well. Granted he had more things going on for him, still. They both would've slayed the states in 1993 as they were both in tour around the same time.
Because the backing track is louder than in Sydney. What you're hearing is the recorded vocal. It's pretty similar to Sydney from a 'live' perspective.
I never realized she was singing over recorded vocals before....& ive seen this tour hundreds of times! You can really hear it in this video. So Erotica, Fever, Vogue, Express Yourself & Justify My Love were either full-on lipsyncing, or M singing over a backing track.
I'm pretty sure Fever started off full-on lip synched in London and then gradually became more and more lively. By the time she hit Australia / Japan I think it's full-on live. Never heard any hints of a backing track in Express Yourself either. Erotica, Vogue and Justify My Love were always completely lipped (minus the very end of JML).
@@anisioc.3426 No, she did use a backing vocal track on Express Yourself. There's a clip somewhere on YT that shows Madonna like choked on her own spit, stops singing & then says she 'had to clear her throat.' However, when this happened, her vocals were still playing behind it. It makes it undeniable that she used a backing track for it. PS-She also sings over a backing vocal on EY during the Blond Ambition Tour. I don't think she started singing it completely live until Reinvention Tour. Madonna's been using backing vocal tracks since way back...
@@FranklySpeaking. well, I'm really curious now! I know that EY was like 90% lipped on the Blond Ambition Tour, but the Girlie Show version has always sounded super live to me. I'd love to see that clip. I will say, though, maybe she may have used a backing track in some select dates only?
