Today, as a 58 year old woman listening to this song, as well as hearing your other popular hits re-affirms my belief that your insane level of talent was what lit us college girls on fire. I'm a 80's baby and here I sit at 41 year's old singing this to my baby as he falls asleep in my arms. All my babies were raised listening to 80's music. My oldest is 25 and she still loves Madonna, Michael Jackson, Whitney, Tina, Heart, and Journey. Now in 2023 my 8 month loves it just as much. It hurts my soul when I think of all the good music and Musicians we've lost along the way.

My brother passed away on July 1, 2019 and he was the biggest Madonna fan. We made his funeral Madonna-themed and had his favorite songs on a playlist. One of my favourite Madonna songs. I’ll always have a soft spot for 80’s Madonna. Her 80’s and 90’s work was pretty special. She had some amazing collaborators and wrote alongside some amazing songwriters and composers. It’s a shame she never gets the proper credit for her artistry. Her body of work is formidable and so broad in its range.

Went with a friend to a Madonna concert (he had a crush on her). I was a 70s classic rock fan. I was hoping nobody I knew would see me there. Then the concert started and I was absolutely stunned and mesmerized. The year was 1985. I have never looked at women the same way since. Thank you Madonna. Nobody compares to the young Madonna. She is utterly incomparable. She singlehandedly changed American music forever.

Maybe that's why she looks a bit shy and insecure with her body moves and expressions in this music video, because previous to this song, she always was dancing and being provocative in all her videos. But the huge success of this song might gave her a much more confidence in doing ballads and probably she invested time improving her corporal and facial expression on ballads, because in her future videos for ballads she looks much more confident and handeling greatly all her body and facial expressions, as well as she always does in her upbeat/provocative songs and videos

2024? I wasn't around in the 80s but Madonna was incredible back then, I listen to all her music. The opening 30 seconds of this song gives me goosebumps. The music is incredible in this video. In the 80s, the likes of Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Stevie Nicks, Laura Branigan and Pat Benatar etc I could go on, these women were just incredible in this time period.
