Madonna's monstrous stamina in her 40ies here is unmatched by anyone to date. Do consider that this is just the opening, she goes totally nuts later in the show.

I hace to confess i always underestimated this tour by considering full of lights screens and you know so overworked so cold. But I have barely discovered how deep artistic fresh this tour is. People who criticise this tour don't see how different is from the rest of madonnas work but it cannot be compared it doesnt have any precedent there won't be any other show like this even if this were made by Madonna.

This was supposed to be the 4th single from Music album, but her record company wanted Amazing as the single and Madonna got pissed! This song is way better than "Amazing"!!

"Amazing" was originally part of this tour and the record company had planned to release a video of that performance so Madonna took the song off of the set list. Personally I prefer "Impressive Instant".

Both songs are great, but you know M, she "doesn't repeat herself". There's rumors she didn't want it as a single since it's similar to beautiful stranger, which it is, but I love amazing as well. I guess impressive was to "avant garde" with its techno sound for 2001.

Twenty years on I can't believe that Warner refused to release this song as a single, 'cuz they felt it was "uncommercial"! They must feel like slitting their wrists every time they witness the success of "Boom Boom Pow" by the Black-Eyed Peas... Madonna basically predicted the rise of EDM some eight years ahead! Talk about a forward-looking mind!

While Madonna's "of its time" stuff is actually good...that's not the case with most other artists, oh dear. Their works rarely aged well and became outdated very quickly. Just listen to the mainstream pop songs from the same period (2000, 2001) and see how terribly inferior they are to the brilliance that is IMPRESSIVE INSTANT and the rest of her Music album.

i would argue, Madam X is a bit of a return to this era musically - helps that she partnered with Mirwas again on that album, like she did on Music. and the Madam X tour was the closest to Drowned World - at least for me

kyle miner I guess but she really is butchering herself up during Madame x which sort of makes the whole album sad. Take care of yourself yes but butt implants. All that shit to her face. Stop. Also the music isn’t very fun. It’s interesting and preachy but not very fun. But you’re right. This music wasn’t really that fun either compared to previous work.
