Thanks for posting. People don't seem to understand that the concept of costumes from the 4 decades doesn't just involve her, but also her dancers. I loved that she sang Notthing Really Matters, Rain, Bad Girl and Mother and Father. I think the setlist was well chosen, I would just make one change or two. I thought there was a song missing from Hard Candy and I would choose She's Not Me, simply to clarify that there will never be another song that has reinvented itself so much and has engaged so much, especially with political issues. For these and other reasons she continues to be the Queen. Even if you don't sing or dance like you used to, or if your voice isn't the same anymore, even if Beyonce or Taylor Swift fill the most stadiums and have the most profitable tours. If they are there today, it is because Madonna was the only precursor who knew how to reinvent herself in all this time.
Do not forget all the people working for madonna... They're are the brains behind what you see... Madonna is just a marketing product run by people we never see on TV
@@christiand8243 I think it's kind of difficult for just one marketing product to maintain itself for four decades without any talent, no matter how good the brains that work for it are, don't you think? I'm not asking you to like her, I just think she deserves recognition for everything she's done and continues to do in the music scene.
@@christiand8243you’re ridiculous. The same could be said for any artist. Is Taylor doing her own lighting? Is Beyoncé playing all the instruments in her band? Is Gaga doing all the stage direction and choreography? Is Rhianna producing all the video footage behind her? Obviously it takes a team to put on a show like this. M has written most of her hits, was the driving force behind her image and career path, is involved in the production of her albums, collaborates on staging and choreo, and those are her live vocals. To claim M is a product of other people is ignorant. I can’t think of an artist more in control of her own career.
This tour is full of memorabilia that hard core fans will be understanding like a secret language. I'm loving all the references, everything is coming full circle.
In February 2014, a Belgian court repealed the verdict on the case and proclaimed that Madonna did not plagiarize Acquaviva's work. The court spoke of a "new capital offense" in the file: composer Edouard Scotto Di Suoccio and societies Tabata Atoll Music and Music in Paris had also filed a complaint for plagiarism. According to them, both "Ma vie fout le camp" and "Frozen" originated in the song "Blood Night" which they composed in 1983.[149] After all three tracks in the case were compared, the final ruling was that the songs were "not sufficiently 'original' to claim" that any plagiarism had taken place.[150] This ruling ended the eight-year ban of the song in place in Belgium since 2005@@christiand8243
For those who criticize, this setlist is a timeline of her career. She chose to use playback in the instrumental of the songs to get closer to the audience that loves her. It's not a big stage so, another thing we understand when throughout the show why she got screwed in rehearsals. She choreographed and was the creative director on this tour, almost everything she used a lot of references from her career in 100% of the show. As it's a tour to celebrate her career, there was no need for crazy things or to go around squirming. Many didn't expect to see Madonna alone on a small stage opening a show without a triumphal entrance and she cleverly surprised everyone once again. The costumes are simple this time, as they remind everyone of their origins and all the time show that it doesn't need to be big. It has to be Madonna, that's all!
The greatest hits concept is so well and cleverly executed. The archived costumes and new interpretations of them are there, some dance moves, references to past performances, hair and songs even the blond ambition bed makes a return on stage. Only Madonna!
Opening night’s sound was poor. Just came back from night 2 and the overall sound was much much better with great live vocals for most songs if not all.
