Oh my God she actually fell as the cape didn’t come off but then she carried on… now that’s an artist, that’s a true performer. She truly is a Queen of Pop…
This performance sums up M's entire career. She gets knocked down- then she gets back up and shows the world why she is the Queen of Pop. Excellent performance. She is such a bad ass!!!!!
@@matheuseduardo4399 omfg Gaga broke her hip and still dances, Madonna, fell off the stairs and still dances, both are queens in their own right. Y'all make me sick.
This is honestly one of her best moments on stage. She got knocked down HARD, but as soon as she hit the ground she got right back up and delivered an incredible performance that people half her age couldn't pull off even on a good day. And that's such a perfect microcosm of her whole career--for 40 years she's been knocked down, criticized and attacked, and every single time she just gets right back up and amazes us. I don't think there's a single person who saw this performance and walked away with anything but respect for Madonna.
The fact that she kept her choreography on point, and still sang was the highlight of it all. Especially the last choreography sequence where she spins onto the dancer to come off the platform.
I'm just as impressed with the two girls who were handling the cape. The rest of the performance must have been agony for them wondering if they really hurt Madonna and if they still have a job.
The things people say for some likes... She literally stopped singing. She still handled the situation very professionally. But claiming she didn't miss a single beat is ridiculous.
This performance is not an embarrassment or a failure, it just proves how incredible Madonna really is!! Madonna is the ultimate in Showmanship, she's 57 years old and she takes the brunt of a fall which Most 27 year olds wouldn't be able to overcome, not only does she overcome it but goes on to perform the best Brit Awards show performance of all time!! She's also proved that she sings live with very little backing but most of all she proved that she is the Greatest Artist of all time!!
+Andrew Phillips I would hardly call Madonna the greatest artist of all time. Her lyrics are amateur, childlike, her voice is not a good singing voice. Dancing well she doesn't dance like a pro. All Madonna knows is how to market herself, how to "shock" thats it. Listen, really listen to this song and tell me if this is a good song? Hardly!!!
Yes but now she's acting like a slut I know it's sounds weird but have you heard her song bitch I'm maddona. yeah well done for this performance but she's a slut like come on admit that
A reminder what a completely badass performer Madonna is. NO ONE is more resilient. Also, for anyone accusing Madonna of not singing live, here’s undeniable proof that she does.
Have you seen the footage of this from people inside the o2? Weirdly when she falls, the vocals carry on clear as day, they obviously used a heavy backing track, which is filtered out here.
The lyrics after she drops/gets pulled are so ironic. "Now that it's over I'm gonna carry on Lifted me up, and watched me stumble After the heartache I'm gonna carry on" she literally stumbled got back up and carried on.
This performance shows exactly what Madonna is... a strong and professional woman! that’s why I love you Madonna, you’re strong and confident and you taught me to follow my dreams doesn’t matter what... I love you forever my beautiful lady 👸👸👸👸👑👑👑🙌🙌🙌😇😇❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍💕💕🙅🙅🙅😘😘😘😘😘
I have watched this video probably 20 times. Not because of her fall, but because of the epic way she gets straight up and flawlessly finishes the performance. There’s an incredible, incredible message here.
Knowing Madonna as a perfectionist as she is, she might not be particularly proud of this moment, but we are! And it's very brave of her to post this video on her channel!
@@RockinDaBoombox But Madonna was. When she was invited to Ellen they talked about it and Madonna explicitly told her she didn't want to watch that performance!
Antonio Marruecos Remebered by her fanatic fans, she was (when she was something) like a Britney spears with turbo, nothing else. She’d de ad artistically now and after Gaga she lose in every way.
@@tibdotwav Are u dumb ? By 60 it means her body getting old .what it has do with song name? Okay , share the link of you falling from 3stairs with that same intensity then we can talk how much it hurts. I make sure people care for u after that 😄
I just noticed, for the first time, how one of the male dancers is so shocked by the fall that he doesn't come down from the platform, until he sees the boss stand up, ready to carry on. This Lady will always be a Legend. Love her.
I think they were doing something after she took off the cape, but they couldn't because of the fall, thats´s why the dancer stayed in the platform. Now i wonder what we've missed of the performance (Sorry, not native english speaker)
I saw this live when it happened, I thought she had a funny look on her face when she was untying her cape. I did not think she was gonna fall that hard tho.
I went to see her at the jonathan ross taping the following night, she did not look happy when she entered the room, she mellowed a bit after she recorded her performances, but she didn't look very comfortable being in front of people for the first time after falling off stage.
@blue billiard Even Michael Jackson used back up vocals when performing live since they also dance. Not everyone is Adele or Ed Sheeran to stay still for 5 minutes while performing live dressed like they just went out for a walk with their dogs.
@blue billiard No she wasn't. She a a backing track but you could hear when her voice abruptly stopped when she fell and also when she started to sing again.
This performance is a true triumph for her. It is an example of strength and perseverance. This made me truly admire her and her strength of character.
Just before it happened the lyrics were "do no wrong" - Then BAM! and the lyrics were "down on my knees" ... complete coincidences but both fitting for the moment.
Queen shows how it’s done regardless of circumstances. Imagine being dragged by your throat at almost 60 backwards down stairs. And STILL perform not missing a beat (and not lip syncing)
+Mike Totally agree. I hope Aya and Bambi don't feel bad about it (they were just doing what they were told). I love the duo. They are inspiring just as they have been inspired by Madonna.
Shit happened, but Madonna, as the pro and greatest name she is, picked herself up, dusted herself off and got on with her show. That is why she is Madonna.
Her entrance was EVERYTHING; that's how the queen of music makes an entrance. 20 years ago Madonna was crying over a matador, and 20 years later she IS the matador. Madonna is the honest definition of an ICON / LEGEND.
That's madonna for you all, falls down and then makes the audience jaws drop! Long Live the Queen! ( and the lyris for the first verse explains everything)
@@hypoplvs9701 50's really isn't that old if you keep good care of yourself and remain active. You get old once you stop and your body has no reason to continue.
This era of Madonna in 2010s is my fav, The Rebel Heart album, Rebel Heart Tour and Madonna’s whole aura was just overwhelming, I hope Madonna won’t stop releasing albums because I wanna see what she’ll do next😊
1:08 Took me to heaven and let me fall down Now that it's over I'm gonna carry on Lifted me up, and watched me stumble After the heartache I'm gonna carry on ❤❤❤❤❤
I felt bad for her when she fell, but I think she was ok afterwards, I'm pretty sure that's what she said on the Jonathon Ross Show. I admire her for carrying on, what a pro!
Don’t think you have any knowledge about music, do you? This woman can’t sing - in actual fact, she was never capable of singing let alone improving her vocals.
@@hotina100 I was talking about the black vocalist in the back. Pay attention and learn how to control yourself to stop spreading negativity and maybe you won't look so goddamn stupid.
I love how even though she fell down, she got back up and continued to sing "Lifted me up, and watched me stumble. I'm not giving up. I'm gonna carry on".
I'm really shocked. She fell brutally but it wasn’t the reason to give up. She kept going till the end and she finished bravely. This is an example of perseverance. Thank you Madonna for teaching us one more lesson. #livingforlove
I remember seeing it live on stream... I was speachless, sooo in shock. I thought she will go off stage - how wrong I was. She is a fucking pro and has an amazing talent. Kudos, beautiful M!
You don’t ever go off stage unless you’re injured so badly you can’t. This was live tv too. Nothing special about what she did. It was those damn shoes!
I remember watching this live and pretty sure my heart stopped for a second. The way she just stood up and kept going was so amazing, but of course the general public and the media made fun of her instead of commending her. I love that she has it on her official channel, she’s owning it. Queen of everything.
i remember watching this live and everyone just froze i felt so bad for her because this was such an iconic performance and she knew that .. she still smashed it either way . we fall and we get back up ... ironically fit with the lyrics
My heart still stops when I watch this, but boy when madonna gets backup and carries on, the smile on my face the goosebumps. The lyrics in this song can not get anymore perfect for what happened. You go madonna you fucking go for it. It takes a special person to put up with the shit shes taken from the press and other people, that special person lady's and gentlemen is the queen Madonna. Much love madonna, I've loved you since I first saw you on TV live aid . I'm so lucky (perfect timing) to be born when madonna was on this planet. X
After listened her speech in Billboard, i understood from where her strength came from, she had very hard Moments in her life and, dispite that, she carried on. A inspiration. Long live and eternal love to Madonna!
+ButterMango Well, 1:08 - she fell "I let down my guard" 1:25 - moments after the fall "Now that it's over, i'm gonna carry on" She did a great performance tho.
Chris Fontaine this was not planned. Just because the lyrics happen to fit doesn't mean it was done intentionally. Ever heard of the word "coincidence?"
Seeing this Mariah Carey disaster (one of many) last night you have to respect Madonna more. She had an ACTUAL technical difficulty where the costume was stuck and the dancers did their job and she was yanked down A FLIGHT OF STAIRS and did she complain or throw a tantrum or blame anyone or walk off? No, she just went on and killed it. True pro.
For her tour she also got kicked in the face and was literally bleeding and performed the show (with heavy choreography and even dancing on a CHORD) and still carried on.. 53 at the time. That's why I support Madonna
The core of her person, her messages, her music, and her life has always been to overcome, to grow, to learn, to be your best self. No other pop singer has a 30 year career of positive messaging despite the fact that she's endured misunderstanding, judgement, jealousy, and hatred her entire career. Fortunately she's also received much love.
really admire how she falls and she's straight back up again smiling, dancing and singing. find me a recent artist who would do the same. goo madona your totally awesome 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
+MrRD1981 Sure coming from SATAN but JESUS IS MUCH MORE POWERFUL AND PEACEFUL AND LOVING ! Don'T Want to DO ANYTHING WITH THESE DEMONIAC ARTIST ! That tell you in from of your face and STILL You don't see ? Make me think....They got Eyes to see but don't see, ear to listen but don'T understand It'S so TRUE and it'S happening in from of our face !
57 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME!!!! THIS right here shows how a true performer does a show!!! She didn't quit, she kept on going and put on an AMAZING show!! Even now on her Celebration Tour at 65, she STILL puts on a ahow that's AMAZING and AHEAD of everyone else... All of you that says she needs to retire and whatever poison that spews out of your mouth about her is because YOU'RE jealous that MADONNA is still RELEVANT and still a PIONEER in the music industry!!! MADONNA is the FOREVER REIGNING QUEEN OF POP and she DESERVES RESPECT!! Love you, M!!!
relevant is relative. not everybody shares your enthusiasm for an aging party girl who would do well to make a graceful transition to a different style of performing.
