Blinded by her light all the time, her beauty, her creative talent, her strength, her resilience. Erotica and Bedtime stories my soundtracks to the 90s. This song also marked my parting from the love of my life, whose memories I will cherish forever.
Wow. This is Madonna at the peak of her power. She's become so iconic that it's easy to forget what a great artist she is, The way she could connect with the camera and audience is unparalleled. Her videos from the 80's through 2000's are performance art. She's probably the best to ever do it and paved the way for everyone after her.
Madonna looked absolutely beautiful in this video. I always thought her eyes were gorgeous and very mysterious. I love when she smiles. Her whole face lights up.
I love this song so much, also "This Used To Be My Playground". They just have that distinctive sound of the 90s. It's so precious. Hearing this brings me back to a 13 year-old me.
I had the album and still do in my freshman year in high school. I remember being in my Geography class with Mrs. Fashinbauer. I remember carrying the album in my backpack. One day in class this guy who I though was so adorable. Eddie Martinez. My Erotica album slips out and he was like Madonna you like Madonna? Yes, I said! You got good taste in music. Many years would go by listening to the album to busy with school no time for T.V. then one day years later my friend David and I were talking about Madonna and mentioned how beautiful Madonna looked in the Rain video. I confessed to David can you believe I have the Erotica but I have never seen the videos. He was like you got to Madonna is very beautiful in it. One day I bought the 93-99 video collection and I was blown away. Truly beautiful. Just blown away :) 😀 Madonna is Madonna for a reason 😀
This was such a beautiful look for her. Her eyes are captivating. The lighting, the sets, wardrobe styling and hair and makeup are all beautiful. Definitely one of my favourite Madonna music videos.
I don't know. Between those two blue walls, she looks somewhat less than stunning to me. More like an undernourished chicken who got the bird flu, if you ask me.
For us that were around when she hit big.. we remember how big she was... today.. they don't have anyone close to that.. she is iconic for us who remember.. she was/is gorgeous in this video.. one of my favorites.. and he and her back up singer/dancers would use this as a vocal warm-up before concerts.. and it sounded great..
Its amazing how this video shows the best and more iconic aesthethic of the middle 90s, 3 years before its time. That hairdo, mixing long skirts or long tight dresses with sport shoes, ... This is a master class in fashion
Madonna la escuchó y me hace erizar la piel me hormiguea todo el cuerpo. Esa voz expectacular que tiene me hace temblar de Emoción amo esa mujer 😚😚 💛💙❤
How in the world do you describe a video like this? It is simply EXQUISITE. Possibly her one most amazingly filmed clip of her career. So immaculately edited and so superbly lit - it plays out visually like a "brought-to-life" Manga film. That cropped hair, the out-takes, the edible looking microphone and that absolutely stunning jawline of hers... What can you say? Madonna at her finest.
@@mickeymouse2able not sure, English is not my first language, maybe I'm not using the right word 🤔 but I'm sure you understand what I want to express. ✌🏻😉
gosh. summer of 93. my first time falling in love, well, i thought it was love anyway. seemed like it then. that's what this video reminds me of. the fuzzy, sunny, warmth of your first love.
I Love this song & 'M stylish ERA'... On the back of vogue & b4 the eqaully stunning 'take a bow & Il remember' - 'Rain' paved the way 4 some of Madonna's greatest moments in music, movies, image & love songs... The peak of which was 1998's 'Ray of Light' Album with the beautiful & heart breaking 'the power of Goodbye'
God, it is such a strange joy to see some new footage from old video I've watched so many times and love so much. It makes listening to the song such a lovely experience again, is if it was new.
🇲🇽💗☂️🌧️!!! This Song is a Special jewel in The Crown of The Queen!!! 👑 MADONNA is Amazing Nobody like her! Thanks to Share This Version! Tender & Soft!
I LOVE THIS MUSIC. UNFORTUNATELY THIS MUSIC WAS IN EROTICA ALBUM FROM 1992. SPECIAL CRITICS DESTROYED THE ALBUM EROTICA. ITS THE THE REAL FACT THAT THE EXCELLENT MUSIC WAS MISSED. EROTICA WAS A GREAT ALBUM.
GABRIEL CAVALCANTE GONZAGA ALVES ALVES sometimes releasing the wrong singles & selecting inferior album tracks can really make or break an album. There were some weak singles (badgirl) & the stronger side B was mostly ignored (why so hard) this album could have benefited from the 2 hits 'justify my love & rescue me' then 3 other 80's hits could have been added to Immaculate collection (true blue/lookoflove/who'sthatgirl)
Had Rain, been the album lead, Erotica could’ve gone stratospheric. This was a potential massive radio hit for Madonna in 1992. Unfortunately the mainstream audience was turned off by sex and the critics.
Bad Girl was great. Rain was great. The "literal B-Side" of the CASSETTE is : "Thief of Hearts", "Words", "Rain", "Why's It So Hard", "In This Life", "Did You Do It", & "Secret Garden". That is how SIDE B ends. Which of these, (apart from RAIN), is a breakaway pop hit? The ALBUM includes the campy "Waiting", "Where Life Begins" and a COVER! i bought this, all excited, and the second song is "FEVER". 😞 Then: "Bye Bye Baby". It tried too hard to be sexy & Madonna never needed help in that* department.
GABRIEL CAVALCANTE GONZAGA ALVES ALVES Erotica was far from destroyed!Sex book came out same time.It was the best selling tabletop book in history! She always knows what she is doing
I wish the youth of today would appreciate her more because she is such an icon and changed the face of popular music in the 80's 90's and beyond. Not to mention the endless work she has done for the lgbt community. Ps how stunning does she look here!
They don't want to appreciate her because they don't have the mindset nor the capacity to understand her artistic music/videos....They want bubblegum music quick and easy and good for them don't want them around anyways.
it's really mindblowing that TS is now the face that liberated the lgbt community just because of the weak song clam your tits down..it just show that the lgbt community is quick to change queens...Madonna is AN ICON, then, NOW and FOREVER...
@@allatomac2152 I'm stating she's still beautiful but I do like her older songs there the best. I never said that Madonna is out of style these days did I?
Listening in 2022, right away it brought me to tears... Instantly remembering years past. Not sure if it was happy or sad times just resonated. This was in rotation on CD player while I was in my 20s, an artist, a Dreamer, before a career, family. I barely remember that person.
Brava Madonna! 👏👏
The song’s bass still sounds powerful. It makes the song in fact! The video could not enhance the song better - the synth bass is totally in synch with the futuristic set of the vid. 5/5 my favorite video. It’s a masterpiece
I came out the same year her singing career began. I was blessed to be able to dance at the Dallas gay clubs to all her dance hits as they were released. She provided the soundtrack to my youth!
